Anonyme, Thursday, May 8, 2003 - 14:05

James D. Cockcroft

Suits and nukes. Nuclear weapons: what's the deal?

Eric, Thursday, May 8, 2003 - 10:02

Greenpeace

As you may not have heard, the folks who signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty are meeting this week in Geneva, Switzerland. They're scratching their heads over why the treaty has utterly failed to stop non-nuclear states from going nuclear (like India and Pakistan and Israel and Korea) as well as failing to force the nuclear-capable states to disarm.

Our government has declared a military victory in Iraq. As a patriot, I will not celebrate... The distinction between dying for our country and dying for your government is crucial in understanding what I believe to be the definition of patriotism in a democracy...

Maria Tomchick

On Monday, April 28, the U.S. media focused on Donald Rumsfeld's trip to Baghdad, while a shocking event played out in a town just 30 miles to the west, where U.S. troops opened fire on Iraqi civilians, killing 15 people and wounding dozens of demonstrators protesting the U.S. occupation of their town...

Doug Saunders' front page article "Israel Vows to Deport Peace Activists" (Globe & Mail, May 3, 2003) repeats Israeli government insinuations that the two British citizens involved with the recent Tel Aviv suicide bombing had "links" to peace activists, including the International Solidarity Movement (ISM)...

J'accuse
