Un comité d’organisation, c’est l’initiative prise par les premiers communistes dans une ville, une région ou un quartier pour rassembler et unir autour d’eux et elles les révolutionnaires de leur entourage. C’est une initiative qui permet de lancer, dans un milieu précis, une nouvelle forme de lutte politique. On peut appeler ça une pratique de combat, ou encore de l’action révolutionnaire.

Montréal, le 24 novembre 2004 - Ahmad Nafaa, un réfugié palestinien, a été detenu mardi soir dans une station de métro. Il a été immediatement envoyé à Immigration Canada. Les amiEs d'Ahmad qui sont venuEs l'appuyer ont été brutaliséEs par des officiers de la STM. Six personnes ont été détenues tandis qu'un observateur a été pris par ambulance, sa tête ayant été cognée sur la rue. Un autre a été arrêté par la SPVM et relaché quelques heures plus tard.

Ahmad est menacé d'expulsion vers les É-U. Un réfugié apatride, il sera éventuellement expulsé vers un camp de réfugiés au sud du Liban. Pour plus de deux ans, Ahmad luttait activement pour son droit de rester au Canada. Il est membre fondateur de la Coalition contre la déportation des réfugiés palestiniens. Le dernier membre actif de la coalition qui a été détenu a été expulsé en moins de 48 heures.

Une manifestation d'urgence pour arrêter la déportation d'Ahmad aura lieu aujourd'hui, le 24 novembre à midi, devant les bureaux d'Immigration Canada au 1010 St-Antoine Ouest (métro Bonaventure).
Une présence médiatique indépendante serait fort appréciée.

 
Stateless Palestinian Refugee taken Tuesday, November 23rd by Canadian Immigration Authorities: Currently Detained at Montreal's Laval Detention Center & Facing Immediate Deportation:

Ahmad Nafaa, a Palestinian refugee from Ein el-Hilweh refugee camp in south Lebanon and active member of the Coalition Against the Deportation of Palestinian Refugees, was forcibly detained Tuesday evening around 9 PM, by Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC) at Metro-McGill. Ahmad is now facing deportation to the U.S, where he will be held in detention indefinately, before he is ultimately deported back to Ein el-Hilweh camp.

The deplorable actions of Immigration Canada will not quell the struggle of the Palestinian refugees for status and dignity! The fight for justice for Ahmad Nafaa and the 40 other Palestinians facing deportation will strengthen and grow in the face of repression!
