L’Espagne a émis sa demande d’extradition pour bloquer la possibilité de l’exercice du droit d’asile. Depuis quatre ans, Eduardo et Gorka vivaient au Québec et, comme tous bons citoyens, ils travaillaient et adhéraient au système canadien tel qu’il se présente actuellement.

18 août 2001- Le journaliste noir américain Mumia Abu-Jamal plaide une nouvelle fois son innocence et l’iniquité du procès à l’issue duquel il a été condamné à mort en 1982. Devant la juridiction d’appel, ses avocats défendent la requête de 300 pages qu’ils ont déposée justifiant sa libération. Depuis vendredi, plusieurs manifestations de solidarité se sont tenues dans le monde, dont à Los Angeles, Paris et Philadelphie, où plus de mille personnes se sont réunies. Samedi à Québec, une trentaine de personnes ont protesté devant le consulat américain.
