L’oppression raciale est sans aucun doute l’une des caractéristiques inhérentes du monde capitaliste moderne. Elle se manifeste de façon plus visible par des agressions de groupes fascistes contre les immigrant-e-s. Mais plus encore, les communautés immigrantes sont victimes de la discrimination systémique de la part des États capitalistes. Discriminations qui se traduisent par des attaques contre les droits des immigrants, des coupures dans les programmes sociaux, par des attaques policières et un système de justice raciste.

MONTRÉAL - On Thursday January 6th, 2005, at approximately 13h00, seven members of the Indigenous Peoples Solidarity Movement (IPSM) made a surprise visit to the office of Quebec's Minister of Public Security, Jacques Chagnon, to present him with a letter (below) and to arrange a meeting in person. The delegation's demand was to ensure the Sureté du Québec (SQ) cease its interventions into the sovereign, internal affairs of the Kanienkehaka (Mohawk) Nation and the community of Kanehsatake.

Port-au-Prince,Haiti(HIP)-Corralling residents and kicking down doors, heavily armed troops of the UN and the Police Nationale de Haiti (PNH) invaded several neighborhoods of Cite Soleil one day after an alleged attack on the headquarters of the mission of the Sisters of St. Vincent de Paul.

Listening and reading mainstream US media outlets creates the illusion that
the "peace process" between Israel and the Palestinians revolves around
"curbing the violence" and Palestinian "reforms." Devoid of any
self-reflection, the pundits ignore realities on the ground and distort
history in ways that try to deceive the US public to continue the massive
military and economic aid to Israel at the expense of US public interests
(in addition to its devastating impact on Israelis and Palestinians).

Haiti, in combat, preserved the honor of the sons and daughters of Africa after 300 years of slavery. Its existence led to the eventual destruction of the Western European slave trade in the world, not to mention smashing into smithereens the ideological construct and notion of "white" superiority.

Several of the state and corporate officials responsible for creating the current crisis in Kanehsatake are doing business in downtown Montréal. People of Montréal are encouraged to take action to expose these institutions for what they are--the pillars of empire, at home and abroad, guilty of genocide, theft, mass disinformation and illegal occupation. Their role in Kanehsatake has been monumental, and is a clear perpetuation of Canada's ongoing war against Indigenous Nations. It is time to take the fight to the doorsteps of these criminals and to demand Canadian decolonization now!

The future of Canadian/Indigenous relations is being played out, right now, in the Mohawk Nation of Kanehsatake. Kanehsatake residents urgently request your presence to help prevent bloodshed in their community, and bring an end to federal and provincial sponsored aggression. The community is calling for a Mohawk-to-Mohawk, peaceful resolution to the crisis - one not under the gun. Solidarity with Kanehsatake means standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the community and sharing in the burden of their struggle. If you can`t make it to Kanehsatake, call all Canadian & Quebec officials involved in this ploy. Demand they respect the Mohawk peoples` right to determine an end to this crisis, and their political, economic and policing future.
