Même si les navettes quittent Montréal en ce moment (samedi 9h), les gens qui aimeraient supporter les marcheurs sur place sont toujours invités à faire le trajet et se joindre au groupe tandis qu'il s'approche de son but, la colline parlementaire à Ottawa. Une manifestation y aura lieu vers 16h00 samedi, et le groupe espère toujours que le ministre de l'immigration M. Joe Volpe reconnaîtra la présence et l'effort des marcheurs, au minimum.

PatC closes the 7th day of the SAB / No One Is Illegal march with this last report filed walking from Cumberland to Orleans, Ontario, at about 9 PM on Friday.
The marchers will be completing their historic journey today, Saturday June 25th, walking from Orleans to Parliament Hill in Ottawa. While the shuttle service is leaving Montreal right now, people wishing to support them are still invited to make the trip to join them on the spot -- a final demonstration will take place at around 4 PM this afternoon as the march reaches its goal.

Les marcheurs sont rendus de l'autre côté du Lac des Deux Montagnes. Ils sont accueillis par des membres de la communauté en sol mohawk tandis qu'une résidante s'exprime sur les éléctions locales qui s'en viennent et le règne controversé de James Gabriel.

En direct de la marche Solidarité Sans Frontières, rendue maintenant (lundi 10h00) à Île-Perrot, PatC parle avec Youçef, un réfugié d'origine tunisienne.

Youçef : « aujourd'hui je marche au nom de mes amis avec qui je prenais le métro à chaque jour à six heures du matin, pour aller travailler au noir à cinq dollars de l'heure dans des restos [..] avec comme seul souci la crainte d'être saisi par les agents de l'immigration [...]
je marche pour leur dire 'vous êtes pas illégal, vous êtes brave'.. »

 
In this report filed at about 9:30 on the 3rd day of the march to Ottawa, PatC describes the day's itinerary.

The participants are now headed for Dorion / Vaudreuil, where they will take a short break before marching on to Hudson. From there they will take the ferry to Oka, and then walk on to Kanehsatake, where they will be guests of the Mohawk community for the evening.
