Why a gathering?

The gathering is organised by the Animal Defense League(ADL), to bring together people who care about the earth and animals. Many activists from all over Europe will travel to Amsterdam. We want the gathering to be an inspiration to everybody to fight for the millions of animals trapped in the human deathcamps. Nobody stands alone in this struggle. A global movement backs up your thoughts and actions. Come and learn from the knowledge of those of us who went there before.

What can you expect?

A weekend full of action.
THe BPRC is the biggest primate centre in Europe. Every year, 250 monkeys die due to horrible experiments. The centre is almost bankrupt. The only thing that keeps them going is support from the government. This weekend we will put pressure on those who keep this hellish business running. At friday we will go to the gates of this hellhole to let them know they will never be given any rest until the centre closes down. BE THERE ON FRIDAY, WE WILL GO TO BPRC, AT 16.30 WE WILL STAND IN FRONT OF THE GATES!!! TRANSPORT FROM AMSTERDAM WILL BE PROVIDED.

Besides this there is time enough to relax at the bar, eat good food and meet good people.

What is the ADL?

Animal Defense League is an animal rights organisation who is organising regular demo's, mainly against the fur industry. ADL stands for animal rights activism en ADL thinks it is unacceptable that people look upon animals as methods to make money, instead of fellow living, sentient creatures. The ADL fights all forms of exploitations in our society.
