collectif cmaq (info@cmaq.net)

The N17 committee in Montreal have agreed to organize buses for all Montrealers who wish to be in Ottawa for the demo against the g20/IMF/WB and the war planned for November 17th.
How to reserve and pay for a seat on the BUSES to Ottawa for November 16th and 17th...

ANYONE INTERESTED IN THE IMF/WB DEMONSTRATION IN OTTAWA NEXT WEEKEND IS URGED TO READ THE FOLLOWING:

(1)
We (the N17 Committee, in conjunction with the CFS) will be holding a teach-in on Monday November 12th, from 4-6pm, in the Clubs Loungs, 3rd Floor of the University Centre (Shatner Building) at McGill (located on McTavish, just South of Dr. Penfield).
We will have speakers addressing subjects directly related to the
instituitons meeting in Ottawa next weekend.

(2)
If you want to go to Ottawa, and would like get on one of our buses, please send an email reservation request to n17m...@yahoo.com, and specify which dates and times you're interested in (schedule following).
If you sign up, please come to the teach-in on monday to pay (it will be $10 or less). (If you cannot make it to this meeting, please make other arrangements via email).

(3)
The tentative schedule for the buses is as follows, it will remain as posted unless a sufficient number of people request a bus at another time:

Departing Montreal:
Friday November 16th at 6:00pm
Saturday November 17th at 8:00am

Returning from Ottawa
Satuday November 17th at 8:00pm
Sunday November 18th at 5:00pm

Departure and Arrival Locations TBA

4)
Although the proposed arrival/departure schedule would allow people to participate in the November 17th demo only, the N17 committee has said that if there is sufficient interest they would be willing to organize one or two buses to leave Thursday night, November 15th, in order for people to be in Ottawa on Friday November 16th.
OCAT (Ottawa Coalition Against the Tories) has called for a rally and snake march to protest the g20/IMF/WB meetings to begin
at 12:30 pm on November 16th. On Wednesday night (November 7), the CLAC General Assembly voted unanimously to support that call, and there seemed to b a fair amount of interest in getting to Ottawa to attend the events on the 16th. So...

If you are interested in taking a bus to Ottawa on Thursday night, November 15th, in order to be in Ottawa for the events on the 16th, please email the N17 committee ASAP and indicate that you wish to reserve a place on a bus leaving on November 15th in the evening. The email address to contact is: n17m...@yahoo.com
