PANEL DISCUSSION WITH...

FRANCISCO RAMIREZ, union organiser with the national
mine-workers union SINTRAMINERCOL in Colombia, has
been the target of several assasination attempts. He
will speak on the multinational mining companies in
the region of Bolivar Sur and the heightened campaign
of massacres and blockades waged by paramilitary death
squads.

MARCO LUCIANO, organizer with UNITE, a textile
workers' union in North America, and with the Filipino
Workers' Support Group. The FWSG organizes around
labour struggles affecting Montreal's Filipino
Community. Marco will speak about US imperialism in
the context of local labour struggles.

PAYAL PAREKH, community organizer in Boston with the
South Asian Center. She worked in rural India on
small scale water resource projects as an alternative
to WB funded big dams. Payal will speak about IMF/WB
policies and projects in India, and about grassroots
struggles to resist IMF/WB-brand imperialism.
