A protester (a punk) and his friends were walking down Cote Abraham to the CMAQ site when one of his friends ran forward and touched him on the shoulder.

Suddenly, two vans sped down the street after the group and stopped in front of them. The protester tried to run away and threw his beer over the side of the fence. Another van appeared from the side street and joined the other two van. Police, who were dressed as protesters, pinned the protester to the ground the hand cuffed him while beating him on the right side with an extendable baton. The other police officers formed a line around the officers making the arrest to keep other activists and the media back. They threw the protester in the back seat of the first van where they proceeded to beat him. Then all three vans drove off.
