I hope this is of some use to the legal people and the person who was attacked.

I hope this is of some use to the legal people and the person who was attacked.

Just after 8 pm several of us were walking east from the park where the marches had coincided earlier. We were half a block east of de la Couronne and one block south of Charest. I noticed movement and looked up to see three cops tackle a lone protester and hold him face first in the gravel. I grabbed my camera and started taking pictures; so did my girlfriend. One of the cops headed east towards the two white vans and handful of police waiting there, but when I approached and took his picture he grabbed my shoulder and pulled my bandanna off my face. I tried to explain that it was a bit difficult to see, and he said if I covered my face I'd wind up "comme les autres". I shrugged and said "well, OK then"; he let me go. As I turned back to the area between the buildings where the other 2 cops were still sitting on the protester, other people came along including a legal observer. The protester was taken away in the vans, and we buggered off.
