5@7 Koumbit: Libre comme dans graphisme!

Amis graphistes, vidéastes, photographes et artistes en tout genre: le prochain 5@7 Koumbit vous est dédié! Nous parlerons des logiciels de graphisme libres, et plus particulièrement du prochain Libre Graphics Meetings avec l'équipe organisatrice de l'événement. Le LGM 2011 se déroulera du 10 au 13 mai à Montréal!

Les développeurs de GIMP, Inkscape, Blender, Krita, Scribus, Hugin, Open Clipart Library et Open Font Library seront présents. Depuis 6 ans déjà, ils travaillent de concert sur l’interopérabilité et les standards ouverts, tout en dévelopant des approches nouvelles dans les domaines de la mise en page, du traitement des images et de tout ce qui touche aux arts graphiques.

Voilà une belle occasion de venir partager vos expériences avec le design libre, et de découvrir comment contribuer à cette belle communauté pour réaliser des logiciels de plus en plus puissants.

Comme toujours, les 5@7 demeurent une façon agréable de discuter de tout et de rien autour d'une petite bière au chaleureux Bar Populaire. Avec un peu de chance, nous profiterons même de leur nouvelle terrasse au grand soleil. Nous espérons donc vous voir nombreux en ce vendredi 6 mai, à partir de 17 heures.

Koumbit 5@7: Free as in graphic design!

Friends, designers, videographers, photographers and artists of all kinds: the next Koumbit 5@7 is dedicated to you! We'll be talking free and open source graphics software, and more specifically about the upcoming Libre Graphics Meetings with the organising team. The 2011 LGM will take over Montreal from the 10th to the 13th of May.

Developers of GIMP, Inkscape, Blender, Krita, Scribus, Hugin, the Open Clipart Library and the Open Font Library will be present. For the past 6 years, they've been working together on interoperability, open standards, as they develop new ideas and approaches to layout, image editing and everything that touches the graphic arts.

This will be a terrific occasion to share experiences with free and open graphic design, and to discover how to contribute to the community.

Our 5@7s are always a great way to talk about everything and nothing over a beer, in the comfortable atmosphere of Bar Populaire. With a little luck, we'll be able to hang out on their terrace and soak up the sun's rays. We hope to see you come out in great number on Friday, May 6th, at 5 pm.
