Koumbit vous invite à une présentation/discussion sur le conflit de travail au Journal de Montréal, à l'occasion d'un 5@7 le vendredi 1^er avril.

Éric D'Argenzio, statisticien sportif et commis de bureau, a été mis à pied par le Journal de Montréal après 23 années de travail. Il nous parlera de son expérience au sein du journal autogéré Rue Frontenac, des préjudices causés aux travailleurs et travailleuses lors du conflit, de la manière dont Quebecor Média a utilisé le flou juridique entourant la loi anti-briseur de grève, et des derniers développements dans le dossier.

Vous êtes donc tous invités à nous joindre au Bar Populaire, à partir de 17h le vendredi 1er avril, pour une bonne bière et une bonne discussion. Le Bar Populaire se trouve au 6584, boulevard St-Laurent, à quelques rues du métro Beaubien.

Koumbit invites you to a presentation and discussion on the worker struggle at the Journal de Montréal, for our next 5@7 on Friday, April 1^st.

Éric D'Argenzio, sports statistician and office manager, was laid off after working 23 years for the Journal the Montréal. He'll share his experience with the self-managed newspaper Rue Frontenac, the attacks suffered by the workers over the course of this conflict, Quebecor Media's strategic use of ambiguities in the anti-scab law, and will bring us up to date on the latest developments.

You are all invited to join us at the Bar Populaire, any time after 5pm on Friday, April 1st for good drink and discussion. The Bar Populaire is located at 6584 St-Laurent, just a short walk from Beaubien metro station.

Koumbit is a Montreal-based non-profit organisation established in 2004 whose primary activity consists of developing and hosting web sites for other non-profits, as well as helping them appropriate emerging information technology tools. Its founding principles are based on participatory economics, social justice and free/open source software.
