On January 16, 18, 30 & 31 2007, more than 150 people will be on trial to collectively contest tickets they were given when mass arrested at a demonstration during the Liberal Party of Quebec Convention on November 19, 2004.

During this demonstration (which was preceded by another one organized by the ASSÉ student union, as part of the general strike campaign), nearly 190 people were arrested and were eventually ticketed for violating a municipal bylaw (P-6 article 2, which states that it is illegal “to take part in or be present at a meeting, parade or assembly that threatens peace, security and order on the public domain
