Urgent: Israel June-28-06: Crime of war & Act of war

Michael Lessard..., Viernes, Junio 30, 2006 - 02:28

Michael Lessard, Siriel-Media webmaster

On the 28th of June, the government of Israel committed two international crimes much graver than the average violent actions committed in the Israelo-Palestinian conflict.

• We judge that the deliberate destruction of an electric power plant that, as the government knew, not only supplies electricity but is the energy used for water distribution, is a very grave crime of war. We are talking here of a governmental decision to impose collective punishment!

• Moreover, the arrests, or should we say kidnapping, of Palestinian ministers and members of parliament is not only a grave international crime, it is a blatant act of war.

Such actions are deamed criminal even in times of war, what are we to say considering that these acts are committed under the pretext that one young Israeli soldier is held captive...

People of the world,
we must denounce these crimes loud and clear !

By luck, a demonstration was already being organized in Montreal !
