To date, the IAS has funded over fifty projects by authors and translators from around the world. The IAS has grown significantly since its inception. In addition to supporting projects like the Latin American Archives Project and cosponsoring the Renewing the Anarchist Tradition conference, the IAS also publishes a biannual magazine, "Perspectives on Anarchist Theory," as a forum in which to frame, explore, and debate questions of significance to contemporary anarchist theory and practice. The IAS relies entirely on contributions from generous individuals around the world to be able to carry out its programs. ********************* David Graeber, is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Yale University, and the author of Toward an Anthropological Theory of Value: The False Coin of Our Own Dreams and Fragments of an Anarchist Anthropology, among many other scholarly publications. Last year, Prof. Graeber was informed that his teaching contract at Yale would not be extended. However, it was not Graeber's scholarship that was ever in question; rather it was his political philosophies that may have played a heavy hand in the administration's unwarranted decision.
