A night of film and discussion in Café Esperanza (12 St-Viateur O., corner of St-Laurent)

On January 1st 1994 enters into force the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) between Canada, United States and Mexico. That same day, the Zapatista Army of National Liberation takes arms and the world witnesses the EZLN's uprising.

The EZLN takes the main municipalities of Chiapas. Their demands: work, food, soil, roof, health, education, independance, freedom, democraty, justica and peace.

On January 1st 2006, the EZLN organizes a new initiative: a national campaign in wich all social movements, political organizations, collectives and individuals of the anti-capitalist left can take part.

The Other Campaign is an invitation to learn to listen, to consult, to reconize and valoriza the diferent forms of resistence in your city, your community, from your own reality.

To know more about the Sixth Zapatista Declaration and the Other campaign in México and in Montreal
and
to discuss our problems, our realities and our struggles in Montreal and in Quebec:

Join us for a night of film and discussion in Café Esperanza
St-Viateur O. and St-Laurent
