Dear Members of the press

Visit www.rosiamontana.org to acess "Guns for Hire? Those who need
Canadian governmental support just buy it" - an urgent action alert to
Canada's Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

In a webcast dated 9. August 2005 Gabriel Resources announced its
investors that the Canadian government is supporting the controversial
Rosia Montana gold mine venture. During the call Raphael Girard, a
recently appointed director of Gabriel, said that the Canadian embassies
in Brussels and Budapest are currently lobbying and doing all they can to
make the mine project happen.

Raphael Girard was Canadian Ambassador to Romania from June 1, 2000 to
August 31, 2003 . Since last spring he has been employed by Gabriel
Resources; serving on the company's Board of Directors.

Given the above, Alburnus Maior calling upon civil society to send protest
letters to the Canadian government and the Canadian ambassador of their
respective countries; asking for an immediate explanation regarding the
statements made by Canadian public employees and Gabriel employees with
regards to the Rosia Montana gold mine development.

We hope that the information will be of interest and remain

Yours sincerely,

Eugen David
