Willinton Cuesta and Ana María Lozano will be presenting a rare eye-wintness account of what is really going on in the Colombian country-side. Willinton Cuesta is a 29-year-old Colombian peasant activist, and vice-president of the « Major Council » of the Jiguamiando basin, made of up 23 communities. As for all his community, as well as neighbouring villages, Willinton was forced out of his village during Operation Genesis in 1997, a campaign led jointly by the 17th Brigade of the Colombian Army and paramilitary groups.
