Farewell Baghdad.. Mercy of the Gods be with you ..

It is a strange farewell, I had as I drove in the company of two other people, one who took the same airseve flight on Monday, October 27th. It was odd day for travelling, but not an exceptional one in Baghdad. 16 people killed, a us helicopter down, and too many injured. You can see a swift of smoke in the distance as we crossed the bridge to airport ground. Tens of trucks parked in line, awaiting permission to enter grounds. Bypassing all, we took the VIP, military line to make it through the checks and barriers. I am a Canadian and he is an American we have a flight to catch
