Stories from Baghdad..continued

Al Najaf, Al Hawaza was often regarded through out history as one of the school of thoughts for religious studies in the Shii world. It dates back to the time of the profit and its prominence is equated with Qoum in Iran or Al Azhar in Egypt. Throughout history, those two schools of thoughts have played a dominant role. Following the assassination of the Al Khouei in Iraq, the base for Shii became divided thus giving prominence for Quom especially after the first and second Intifada of shiis in south Iraq and the resilience of Saddam against them. The Shiis of Najaf again went back to their place of piety, drawing a clear distinction between state and religion and calling for the division of both. It was an ancient struggle within Al shiis school of thought and dates back to Hassan and Hussein. One the celebrated the unity of state and religion and one that practices their separation. Identically enough the same applied in Iraq. Iran on the other hand and with the rise of the Islamic revolution in 1979, both became one and thus they were unified against one struggle. The struggle of the majority for a state that fulfilled the aspiration of shii muslims through out the world. It was a dream or the sense of resilience of the oppressed over their oppressors and thus the Iranian Revolution becomes a symbol of shiis resilience throughout the world. Today, within the challenges faced by Iran at this time in history as the force and success of the Iranian revolution becomes a question in the minds of the people, the over extension of globalise and its effect on the people combined with the fall of Saddam in Iraq, Iraq and particularly shiis of Iraq along with Scientific and Theoretical school of Al Hawza in Najaf present a major challenge to Iranians and consequently Qoum. Peace, order and consequently the rise of this school is a threat not only to the position of Iran in the Middle East but also its prominence to shiis through out the world. This is evident in the dynamic struggle of this exchange in south Lebanon, especially between Hizballah and the other schools that have established a return to the Najaf. This is not to speak of the immeninent threat the American pose to its policy in the Middle East and its recent accusations to Iran, Syria and Lebanon and all those who harbor “terrorism
