Operation Dignity!!

MORE THAN 300 WOMEN HAVE BEEN KILLED
AND 500 HAVE DISAPPEARED IN CHIHUAHUA SINCE 1993

END FEMICIDE!

JOIN THE FLOODNET ACTION AGAINST THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT AND
THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF CHIHUAHUA.

Approximately 360 girls and women have been killed in Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, since 1993. An estimated 120 are sex-murder victims who have been killed systematically by: two or more serial killers; a band of rich and powerful men; drug dealers with ties to the Carrillo Fuentes cartel; and gangs. Another 250 girls and women are reported missing. Many of the serial victims were sexually assaulted and mutilated. Although Mexican authorities have numerous suspects in custody, the suspicious slayings and disappearances continue. The Carrillo-Fuentes drug cartel and official corruption are contributing factors. Similar deaths and disappearances have occurred in Chihuahua City. Juarez is a city of 1.3 million, across the border from El Paso, Texas, rated sixth-safest city in the United States.

From October 31 to November 2, 2003 there will be actions, events performances and processions to raise awareness about the women who have been murdered or "disappeared" in and around Ciudad Juarez, State of Chihuahua, Mexico over the past decade.

This 3 day VR Sit-In is part of the global procession.
