Iraq-Urgent solidarity: threat of arrest of Iraqi protesters

Collectif de Qu..., Viernes, Agosto 1, 2003 - 11:16

Union of Unemployed in Iraq (UUI)

Announcement by the Union of Unemployed in Iraq (UUI) regarding the threat of arrest of sit-in Iraqi protesters demanding that unemployed urgently receive social welfare.

To all human –loving people
        Progressive forces

We have been informed that US forces are intending to arrest the sit-in protestors, tonight 11.00 pm.
This vicious act must be condemned. Our appeal is to express your support and solidarity.

How: Communicate to the US government, politicians and media that you know what is about to happen and that you disagree with such undemocratic repression. Your e-mails will most probably surprise them, maybe enough to force the Bush administration to respect Iraqi human rights.
