MayDay in London

PML, Friday, May 2, 2003 - 21:16

kriptick

More cops there than protestors so most of my pics are of cops getting tooled up ready to violently disperse people. They really didn't like me photographing them while they were putting on all their flame proof riot gear. The angry looking one threatened to arrest me if I took any more pics. Well wouldn't you be embarrassed wearing that posing pouch?

GUERRE !

Seeking people for Activist Theatre – RECLAIM THE FRINGE!

Anonyme, Monday, April 28, 2003 - 21:50

George Mougias

Optative Theatrical Laboratories is seeking politically motivated people to join in a two-week activist theatre extravaganza from June 12 – 22nd. CAR STORIES, the only show ever booted from a Fringe Festival, is coming back to RECLAIM THE FRINGE!

The Optative Theatrical Laboratories is putting out an open call to activists and artists who want to participate in CAR STORIES ’03, a theatrical joy-ride through the streets of Montreal and potentially beyond. Join one of Canada’s most infamous troupes of Culture-Jammers, get your story workshopped, experiment with theatre, and help put a stop to corporate media abuse. Details of the project and how to get involved can be found here:

http://www.celsiusmagazine.com/unfilt/i06_rtf.htm

Please note that there will be a MAY DAY wine & cheese to kick off the project in the Plateau area – yet another incentive for what is sure to become a carnival of resistance. Please spread the word: FWD & REPOST.
