The World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS)will be held under the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 2003 in Geneva and Tunis in 2005. More and more communication is shaping our world with emerging powers, discrepancies and inequities.
The campaign for Communication Rights in the Information Society (CRIS) promotes transparancy and participation of civil society in the Summit which to its term will adopt a Declaration and Action plan. Here are some of the issues at stake for a democratic and human development through communication in the 21st century. We should all be concerned and informed with the process and outcomes of this Summit has it might shape the futur for us all.
