Le groupe, qui portait des vêtements de couleur noire et des masques, étaient parmi les manifestantEs syndicalistes, communistes, libertaires, étudiants. Ils et Elles furent encercléEs par approximativement 40 policiers anti-émeutes, à vélo, à chevaux et démontrant une force spectaculaire. CertainEs ont pu éviter l'arrestation ciblée et arbitraire, alors que d'autres sont restéEs captifs et captives de la souricière.

As many of you probably know, ten anarchists were arrested yesterday at the big student and union demonstration that took place downtown (March 12th). The crew, who were all dressed in black clothing with their faces covered, was standing amongst the union blocks awaiting the beginning of the march when roughly 40 riot police on horseback and on foot encircled them swinging their batons. A few people were able to fight their way out, but the police were able to capture ten in total.

Un avocat a finalement pu rencontré les détenuEs aujourd'hui, en après-midi, il a confirmé les allègations d'accusations de port d'armes et de complot. Ces charges peuvent être complètement surprenantes, bien que le climat de la manifestation ne laissait transparaître aucune intention de confrontation avec la police. Or, cela nous démontre le vrai visage de l'État soi-disant démocratique: la répression, l'intimidation, le profilage social... Leur volonté est claire: nous diviser pour mieux régner. C'est pourquoi maintenant nous devons répondre par tous les moyens possibles et leur montrer que nous sommes plus nombreux et nombreuses qu'eux.

Qu'à la répression, nous répondons solidarité !

Nous allons nous rassembler à l'extérieur de la station de métro St-Laurent demain matin à 9h, pour se diriger ensemble et uniEs vers le tribunal ou ils et elles recevront leurs conditions de libération. Actuellement, il nous est impossible de connaitre le lieu exact de leur jugement, la police retient l'information. Néanmoins, nous allons connaître plus de détails lors du rassemblement de demain.

Nous faisons appel et encourageons tous ceux et celles qui s'opposent aux arrestations arbitraires, aux abus de la police et la brutalité, au système de justice pourri qui protège les élites. Ceux et celles qui veulent défendre une communauté libre de s'exprimer. Nous devons monter qu'ils ne peuvent pas nous isoler et nous devons déconstruire les préjugés qui ont menés à l'exclusion des anarchistes au sein de la manifestation et finalement de leurs arrestations.

Nous ne voulons pas que montrer une force, nous voulons être fortEs. Rendons visible notre présence, apportons des bannières, slogans, pancartes, nourriture et boissons chaudes.

Nous allons être ensemble pour la libération de nos camarades !

Meet at Metro St. Laurent at 9am!

As many of you probably know, ten anarchists were arrested yesterday at the big student and union demonstration that took place downtown. The crew, who were all dressed in black clothing with their faces covered, was standing amongst the union blocks awaiting the beginning of the march when roughly 40 riot police on horseback and on foot encircled them swinging their batons. A few people were able to fight their way out, but the police were able to capture ten in total.

A lawyer was finally able to meet with the group earlier today and confirmed that they are all being charged with both plotting as well as possession of a weapon. These charges may come as a shock at first as nothing transpired from the demonstration in terms of confrontation with the police, but when we reflect on the apparatus of police repression, we see that these inflamed charges are apart of a larger tactic to diffuse our revolt. That is why right now we must act against them, in every way possible, to show them that we are not few, and that when they use the weapon of repression, we will retaliate with solidarity.

We will be gathering outside of St. Laurent metro tomorrow morning at 9 am to march together to the courthouse where they will be having their bail hearing. As of right now, the police are refusing to disclose whether this will take place at the Municipal Courthouse or at Le Palace de Justice.
Unfortunately we will not know the exact details of this until we hear from the lawyer in the morning.

We are highly encouraging as many people who can make it out to do so! We need to break the isolation that helped the police successfully make these arrests in the first place! We want the police to know that when they take our comrades captive, we will be out in full force to support them.

We will be present both inside and outside the courtroom, so there will be a place for people of all different preferences to participate. Banners, literature, friends, food, etc. are highly encouraged! We intend to march together on our way their in order to show our presence in the city and remind them that they cannot break us!
