Colombian Association of University Students, ACEU

The Colombian Association of University Students (ACEU), demonstrates its indignation and disgust as opposed to the barbarian MURDER OF ALIRIO QUIÑONEZ, agrarian youth leader and member of the Central Committee of Colombian Communist Youth (JUCO).

This crime constitutes once more a proof of the State terrorism, lack of democratic guarantees for the political opposition and is the result of the supposed process of peace that, with in head the president Alvaro Uribe Velez, tries to give political recognition to the paramilitary groups that even continue assassinating the Colombian people, protected under mantle of the Law of Justice and Peace.

We offer our more felt condolences to the family, friends and comrades of the JUCO, while we reaffirm our unbreakable conviction and commitment in the construction of peace in Colombia, which is solely possible by means of a political and negotiated exit to the social and armed conflict.

With the murder of Alirio, «they tried to exterminate the voice that redimensionned the meaning of the echo, the voice that sculpted the freedom with the profile of its blood. They pushed above the cliff his body like a water block, tearing the plains to bury the memory of the expropriated ones, after them the judgment of the bloodhounds is perpetuated and after the bloodhounds the indomitable arm of popular justice.»

Companion ALIRIO QUIÑONEZ!

Present, Present, Present....!

Until when...?

Until Forever!

Solidarity is the tenderness of the peoples!

COLOMBIAN COMMUNIST YOUTH DENOUNCES TO NATIONAL
AND INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC OPINION THE KILLING OF ALIRIO QUIÑONEZ, MEMBER OF THE CENTRAL COMMITTEE OF COLOMBIAN COMMUNIST YOUTH, EXILED IN THE SISTER COUNTRY BOLIVARIAN REPUBLIC OF VENEZUELA.

On Jan. 19, 2008, was assassinated ALIRIO QUIÑONEZ. It should be noted that ALIRIO QUIÑONEZ was in exile in the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, due to the persecution of the Colombian army and the intelligence agencies, denounced in multiple occasions by JUCO in meetings and communicates with the national government and the General Attorney's office.

The murder of ALIRIO QUIÑONEZ is a responsibility of the Colombian State, which demonstrates a lack of democratic guarantees for the political opposition, the intolerance of the « gravers » in a way to the deepening of
the internal armed conflict which have converted activists of the JUCO, the Colombian Communist Party, the PCC, today leaders of Democratic Alternative Pole in military objectives, through the alerts, threats, harassment, murder and the building of false accusations.
