Rumsfeld Cites Progress in Afghanistan: Opium?

forpressfound, Saturday, October 7, 2006 - 10:13

Henk Ruyssenaars, Foreign Press Foundation

All those fakes: 'War on Terror', 'War on Drugs', 'War on this', and 'War on that' - are only murder sprees meant to get rid of the competition: the other drug and warlords who do not belong to, or refuse to comply with the hegemony of the global US/CIA war and drugs cartel.

OIL $60 A BARREL? 1 KILO HEROINE US STREET VALUE NEARLY $1 MILLION!

by Henk Ruyssenaars

FPF - October 7th - 2006 - According to a story globally filed by former news agency 'AP' - (now 'Assorted Propaganda') Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld said that despite Afghanistan's rising opium production and violence in the south: "the trajectory is a hopeful and promising one five years after the Taliban's fall." And he repeats the same blatant lies in an 'opinion piece' in today's edition of the warmongering Washington Post.

When last February US 'vice president' Dick Cheney, who is more of a global vice* than anything else, shot and nearly killed his 6 foot tall hunting buddy, thinking he was a duck, Cheney's bad eyesight and alcohol consumption at lunch became a late-night TV talk show legend. Rumsfeld on the other hand apparently has gone totally blind and must be permanently dead drunk, if he doesn't see the global deaths, destruction and crimes against humanity his regime and it's war machine is guilty of. He's as blind as all those who do not want to see.

Rumsfeld seems, like so many of his inhuman ilk in the Washington and Pentagon junta, to live in a state of perpetual denial. Not willing to understand that human beings everywhere never can nor will accept what he and his brood is doing to humanity. (The Brood are a fictional race of evil extraterrestrial insect-like beings that has appeared in many Marvel Comics.)

And they fully reject what U.S. Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, the chief American prosecutor in the opening speech of the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal said: "To initiate a war of aggression is the supreme international crime, differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." It's not only the US Constitution with it's 'Habeas Corpus' they're raping: every law is rejected while they make their own 'reality' in their Empire-Reich.

MENTAL MATRIX - BUNKER MENTALITY

The Washington 'crazies' and their malignant managers seem to vegetate in some kind of mental matrix, an armored concrete bunker where laws nor human beings count in their quest for an empire, as they basically described in "A Clean Break: A New Strategy for Securing the Realm" - an inhuman policy which is wrecking our earth.*

Most probably however, Rumsfeld with 'progress' means the opium harvest in Afghanistan which now is at record level, as the likewise war mongering and criminal 'New York Times' wrote last September 2nd, in a story from the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul.* Business is business, and opium is for the US financiers and dealers much more profitable, also because the US/NATO war machine's defense of the oil and water pipelines in the by them illegally occupied countries is still quite a problem, with the not so profitable production on a pre-war level.

So Rumsfeld and his gang correctly cite progress in Afghanistan: "Afghanistan’s opium harvest this year has reached the highest levels ever recorded, showing an increase of almost 50 percent from last year, the executive director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Antonio Maria Costa, said Saturday in Kabul. He described the figures as “alarming? and “very bad news? for the Afghan government and international donors who have poured millions of dollars into programs to reduce the poppy crop since 2001.

All those smoke screens and lies: 'War on Terror', 'War on Drugs', 'War on this', and 'War on that' - is only the actions meant to get rid of the competition: the other drug and warlords who do not belong to, or refuse to comply, with the global US/CIA drug cartel. As Bush said: You're for us or against us! In the US drug trade it's the same: you can get very rich or very dead. If you don't comply, you die.

A STAGGERING 92 PERCENT OF TOTAL WORLD SUPPLY

And of course Rumsfeld is right from his point of view when he 'cites progress in Afghanistan': ''This year’s harvest will be around 6,100 metric tons of opium — a staggering 92 percent of total world supply. It exceeds global consumption by 30 percent." Mr. Costa said. Rumsfeld didn't react to that figure, but acknowledged that "Afghanistan's economy has tripled in five years." He didn't say why or for whom...

And while for instance forty five million human beings in the United States have no health insurance, Rumsfeld dares anyhow to refer to "80 percent of the population has access to basic health care, up from 8 percent." - Another lie he presents as a fact. Rumsfeld shouldn't only be very ashamed, but be taken to court and jailed immediately.

The opium export from Afghanistan with it's many negative consequences in the US and other countries, was by the Taliban almost wiped out five years earlier, but than the US wars and it's CIA dealers with their own transport planes returned to the Golden Triangle and the opium harvest is at record level again. Better than ever! Rumsfeld today admits however to a surge in the drug production, which can be seen as a confirmation of what in a very informative article was written two years ago: Oil is not the only drug.

OIL IS NOT THE ONLY DRUG

Canadian writer Jeff uses this quote; "Drug-related activities combined with money laundering and information laundering, converging with your terrorist activities." from 9/11 whistle blower Sibel Edmonds, and wrote: "There's been much talk - though, like virtually every other important subject, not enough; and not by those who could do anything about it - regarding the significance of pipelines as motive for war in Afghanistan. (That Washington installed oil consultants as both the Afghans' titular ruler and the US emissary, and the long hoped-for pipelines are now under construction, didn't do much to dispel those wacky conspiracy theories.)

But there's another pipeline in Afghanistan, more important that those carrying oil and gas, because it doesn't merely make a convenient transit of the country. Afghanistan is the source for Central Asia's opium pipeline.

Oil may have reached $50 a barrel, but heroin is worth 12 times its weight in gold, and is by far the most profitable commodity on the markets. A kilogram of heroin, worth $1,000 in Thailand, has a street value of nearly $1 million. That's some mark-up. A kilogram of cocaine can cost as little as $65 to produce, with a street value of approximately $500,000."

The writer calls the drug trade "fuel for the sick engine" and says that "Like the "War on Drugs," the "War on Terror" is a hoax. But it is more than a hoax. It is also a drug war. When seen in this regard, everything starts to make a perfect, dreadful sense.

It may be criminal, but hey - it's just business."
