Full Details:
PROVIDENCE ANARCHIST BOOKFAIR
The Providence Anarchist Bookfair is being held on Saturday, July 15th in conjunction with AS220's FOO FEST anniversary celebrations on Empire Street in Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. The Providence Anarchist Bookfair is being organized as an opportunity to exchange anarchist and anti-authoritarian ideas. The bookfair and all related street-fair activities are free to attend and open to the public.

BOOKING A TABLE
Tables are $25 (with sliding scale for people willing to share space). Included in your fee will be a 6x2 table, chairs, and a spot under one of the street tents. Space is limited so please sign up now if you'd like to sponsor a table. To book a table, contact Sue at
s...@circleacycles.com. Priority within the bookfair itself will be on the written word (books, pamphlets, zines, audio-visual materials) by groups including publishers, distributors, and action-oriented groups as well as individuals. We will also accept, on a case-by-case basis information, participation from community/activist groups, small
publishers, and vendors of materials such as buttons, T-shirts or patches who fit within these principles.

Vendors should arrive at 11am on Saturday morning to set up their space. The bookfair is scheduled to start at 12pm and vendors have the option to stay till the street fair ends at 1am.

WORKSHOPS
Workshops and related events are currently being planned. We are interested in workshops related to development & gentrification, the westcoast "Green Scare" trials, radical parenting, and anarchist principles in action. Contact us if you have other ideas!

AS220 FOO FEST
AS220’s street-fair is an amazing event that draws thousands of people to downtown Providence. The Providence bookfair is a chance to interact with people who have never been introduced to anarchist thought. Local and national bands will be rockin’ on 3 different stages all day long. In addition to the bookfair, the streetfest will feature the Rock n’ Roll Record Sale and the Bizarre Bizaar, plus food, beer, artists’ booths, games and more!

The Providence Anarchist Bookfair affirms and promotes values of mutual aid, direct democracy, anti-authoritarianism, autonomy and solidarity. We reiterate our opposition to capitalism, imperialism, patriarchy, heterosexism, racism, colonialism, statism and all other forms of oppression; we will not accept anyone to participate in the Anarchist Bookfair that perpetuates or promotes these attitudes.
