I've established a new website at http://reemergence.org/ to serve as a forum for discussion of the cultural, political, and economic future of Cascadia, but not to the exclusion of other independence-minded people worldwide. It is a daily work in progress, with additions being made to the site as visitors suggest links, submit files, and ask for improvements to site navigation.

The forum format is phpBB: an open-source system which offers an easy interface with many features to facilitate discussion. Short-form commentary makes the pace less monolithic than email lists and allows people to participate with a greater sense of 'real-time' involvement. Hit me up in the forum if you'd like 'how-to' suggestions.

The overarching idea is to discuss and collectively develop new systems of governance which might be suitable for the quantifiable but as-yet undeclared state of Cascadia without limiting the discussion only to Cascadians. Independence-minded people in the UK, the Northeast, Alaska, and Canada will surely weigh in with valued observations.

As we suggested on the website "it can not be denied that a pre-Enlightenment adaptation of a classical system of governance currently in the hands of barely post-Victorian supply-side economists is likely to have wavered from the course set by its framers." Why do so many political discussions begin with the failed governments of failed empires? Haven't we learned anything from 3000 years of failure or partial success?

We'll assimilate what's known with what's desired and -with your help- produce a model of 21st century governance for Cascadia or anywhere a people find themselves with an opportunity to realign their collective destiny.

Nous avons néanmoins une Politique éditoriale , qui essentiellement demande que les contributions portent sur une question d'émancipation et ne proviennent pas de médias commerciaux.
