3--> *Updated* DAYZE OF ACTION IN MONTREAL: 30 June AND 1 July!!!

The US says it will turn over power to Iraqis on 30 June. But it is clear
that they still have no intention of doing so in any real sense. A North
America-wide Day of Action against the occupation has been called, and
here is what we are planning! Meanwhile, another occupation a little closer
to home also needs attending to ...

->> (30 June)++ FULL DAY of SPECIAL PROGRAMMING on CKUT

The mighty CKUT is hosting a FULL DAY on the occupation of Iraq: tune in to
hear Iraqi voices, analyses of media coverage, Canadian role in the
brutalisation of Iraq, privatization, military industrial complex,
comparison to Canadian domestic colonialism, analysis of war rhetoric, and
more!

>From 7am to 7pm, 30 June CKUT Radio 90.3 FM in Montreal.

->> (30 June)++ SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE OCCUPATION on CKUT

To amplify the voices of dissent, Montreal's CKUT 90.3 FM Radio will be
mounting a Speak Out! Against the Occupation across Turtle Island. Speak
your resistance, expose the lies, denounce the war-profiteers, show your
solidarity with Iraqis struggling against the occupation! Call or email in
to book a rant before 24 June - n...@ckut.ca or 514 398 6788. Include the
phone number where we can reach you between noon and 2:00pm on 30 June, your
group, city, and a rough idea of your topic. We'll confirm.

Broadcast from 12:00 to 2:00pm, 30 June on 90.3 FM in Montreal and streamed
live on
www.ckut.ca.

->> (30 June)++ DISRUPTION OF WAR PROFITEERS

Come out to expose and confront those who are directly involved in the
brutal occupation of Iraq and are doing business right here in Montreal.
Help disrupt the smooth workings of the machine which not only feeds war and
profits from suffering in Iraq but also contributes to oppression in Quebec
and throughout Turtle Island. Let's make sure 30 June is not a day of
business as usual! BRING YOUR POTS AND PANS.

Gather at 1:00 pm, 30 June at main gates to McGill University on Sherbrooke
(at
McGill College Ave.). We will join up with the Echec a la guerre rally at
4:30 (see below).

NOTE: The series of creative actions will attempt to disrupt the businesses
involved in the occupation of Iraq, but is being planned to be open to the
broadest participation possible. All are welcome!

->> (30 June or so)++ AUTONOMOUS ACTIONS

The streets of Montreal harbour many institutions which are involved in the
criminal occupation of Iraq, just as they are involved in similar operations
of privatization, repressive "security", and destruction of the lands of
indigenous peoples here. We should publicly expose the "local pillars of
Empire", even as they prepare their next steps to bleed Iraq dry, and to
further cash in on the "war on terror" both at home and abroad.

We encourage creative actions to expose local government, military, and
corporate involvement in the occupation of Iraq. Montreal is big enough for
a myriad of anti-occupation actions. The profiles below - of companies
selling bullets to the US military in Iraq, building a new prison system in
Iraq, and restructuring the economic laws of Iraq along free market economy
lines and more! - can get you started. Let your imagination go!

Please get in touch to coordinate, bloq...@resist.ca.

->> (30 June)++ RALLY ORGANISED BY THE ECHEC A LA GUERRE COALITION

Expose the fictitious “transfer of sovereignty
