......Another NGO reported of how one mother-of-four killed herself after being held by her hair and raped in front of her restrained husband, who was forced to watch.
Let me get this straight...the Soviet Union was the one known as the "Evil
Empire," right? Reports of women raped before their restrained husbands
and reports of 12 year old girls stripped and beaten makes one wonder about
the the US and British definition of "freedom." Many sources have
reported that the molestors and rapists at Abu-Ghraib were trained and ordered
to be abusive by US and British intellegence. The statements from the Abu-Ghraib
molestors and rapists that orders to abuse came from the higher levels of the
chain of command are damning for the US and British leaders which claim that
the molestors and rapists are simply rogue soldiers and that their human rights
violations and war crimes are not systematic and routine. Again, I ask...it
was the Soviet Union that was the one known as the "Evil Empire,"
right?
Abu Ghraib torture 'was approved at senior military level'
If the suffering and humiliation of Muslim men at the Abu Ghraib prison was
not painful enough to contemplate, the plight of Muslim women has been kept
fairly quiet for fear of a massive backlash. But the facts and revelations that
Muslim women have been systematically raped and abused are steadily growing.
Statements and findings by non-governmental organisations and human-rights
groups detail how one female detainee had been raped 17 times in one day by
Iraqi police in the presence of US troops. Another NGO reported
of how one mother-of-four killed herself after being held by her hair and raped
in front of her restrained husband, who was forced to watch.
A former male prisoner also reported how he regularly saw Iraqi women taken
into a room. He said, "They had to pass in front of our tent and cried
out, 'Find a way to kill us'".
Such animalistic, abhorrent and repulsive crimes are deliberately committed
by western forces to attack the very root of the Islamic psyche. This has already
been proven by revelations that the American political and military authorities
encourage the study of racist and derogatory books such as The Arab Mind,
which paint Muslims as subhuman. It is also born out by the interrogation technique
books and guidance published to CIA and FBI officials, which teach agents to
attack the beliefs and values of Muslims.
The raping of Muslim women is not something that is reported widely, because
it is not something that a Muslim women would want known publicly. But it is
a criminal and barbaric practise of western armed forces throughout the world.
It has also been revealed that the Israeli army has been using this technique
combined with all the other despicable practices all witnessed recently at Abu
Ghraib for decades.
A Palestinian female, recently freed from Israeli detention centre, said more
than 15 fellow Palestinian women were raped by Israeli interrogators to force
them to confess to charges levelled against them and collaborate with the Israeli
intelligence.
"Israeli investigators and intelligence officers keep video tapes of the
raping to blackmail the female detainees," she told a news service, requesting
anonymity. "I have been sexually abused and photographed. When I tried
to travel to Jordan after my release an Israeli intelligence officer blackmailed
me with the humiliating photos," she said.
She asserted that these techniques have been used for years by the Israeli
interrogators against Palestinian detainees, They have used these raping
techniques before my detention and continue to use it until today. She
mentioned that she had spent nine years in Israeli custody, and even though
it was well known that this was happening, Palestinian women would shy away
from reporting such disgrace. She also added that the Israelis blackmail
the victims to keep quiet or face the indignity of public knowledge and footage
that she has been raped.
This is the nature of the western civilisation and freedom
that is being brought to the Muslim world. To make it worse, it was the Iraqi
trained forces that were assisting in raping the Muslim women at Abu Ghraib.
If this is the nature of the new Iraqi regimes security forces, then what possible
difference is there in the new Iraqi puppet regime of America?
The Muslims of Iraq, both the sincere men and women, are rightly resisting
the presence of the western coalition forces. They are also rightly dismissing
the entire Iraqi Interim government as stooges brought in from abroad, to mind
the western interests. The Muslims around the world must support the Iraqi Muslims
in their uprising, and exert their utmost pressure on their own rulers to ensure
that legitimacy, by way of diplomatic relations and the sending of Muslim troops,
is not allowed to occur.
Iraqi Girl Aged 12 was stripped and beaten by military personnel
Fri May 7 2004 "ITV" -- The US military has said it will investigate
claims by a former inmate of Abu Ghraib prison that a girl as young as 12 was
stripped and beaten by military personnel.
Suhaib al-Baz, a journalist for the al-Jazeera television network, claims to
have been tortured at the prison, based west of Baghdad, while held there for
54 days.
Mr al-Baz was arrested when reporting clashes between insurgents and coalition
forces in November.
He said: "They brought a 12-year-old girl into our cellblock late at night.
Her brother was a prisoner in the other cells.
"She was naked and screaming and calling out to him as they beat her.
Her brother was helpless and could only hear her cries. This affected all of
us because she was just a child.
The allegations cannot be verified independently but Mr al-Baz maintains psychological
and physical violence were commonplace in the jail.
He also claims that a father and his 15-year-old son were tortured in front
of his cell.
He said: "They made the son carry two jerry cans full of water. An American
soldier had a stick and when he stopped, he would beat him.
"He collapsed so they stripped him and poured cold water over him. They
brought a man who was wearing a hood. They pulled it off. The son was shocked
to see it was his father and collapsed.
"When he recovered, he now saw his father dressed in women's underwear
and the Americans laughing at him.
Mr al-Baz claims the guards at the prison were keen to take photographs of
the abuse and turned it into a competition.
"They were enjoying taking photographs of the torture. There was a daily
competition to see who could take the most gruesome picture.
"The winner's photo would be stuck on a wall and also put on their laptop
computers as a screensaver.
"I had a good opinion of the Americans but since my time in prison, I've
changed my mind. In Iraq we still have no freedom or democracy. They are so
cruel to us."
The International Committee of the Red Cross has said Iraqis held by US forces
have been subjected to systematic degrading treatment, sometimes close to torture,
that may have been officially condoned.
The ICRC said visits to detention centres in Iraq between March and November
2003 had turned up violations of international treaties on prisoners of war.
The ICRC, whose reports on prison visits are confidential, went public with
some of its findings after parts of the 24-page document were carried by the
Wall Street Journal.
The scandal over detainee abuse broke last week with the release of photographs
showing the sexual humiliation of Iraqi prisoners in Abu Ghraib.
US Defecse Secretary Donald Rumsfeld has taken responsibility for the incidents
and apologised to the victims, the Iraqi people and Americans.
