Against the deportation of Palestiniens in Montreal

The massive deportations have begun in Montreal last summer, that is hundreds of Paelstiniens listed to be thrown out of the country imminently. Two hundred mad protesters were in front of the C.I.C yesterday, thusday May 20th, and they stayed there since four in the after noon until six thirty after the closing. The wrath of the protesters grew, and we sang to resist the cold of the storm and to motivate ourselves. Of course things drag on and most of the families are still in Canada.

In July last year during a bigger protest, they were over two hundred palestiniens fearing deportation including one adolescent of fourteen, fifteen years old, who had to go out of the country without canadien papers and return to Palestine. We now have over a thousand refugies throughout Canada who came to complain because they were going to be deported. The refugies men and wemen, wanted a fix status and a residence to work and stay. A team had deposited white tents on the sides, in the commerce center on Saint Antoine. The refugies were very angry, their true homes are here. Their demands are clear: Demand that the canadian government immediatly stops all deportations. Demand the return of all those, men and wemen who have already been deported since summer 2004 and help for their family in Palestine. Demand to obtain the canadian citizenship to work and send the children to public schools. The palestinien families comnig from the refugie camps in the South of Lebanon asked for the Right to return on the palestinien land, afterwards they fled to Canada. The houses are demolished in Palestine every day, eighteen thousand homes were put to the ground last tuesday, eight thousand only in Rafah. The hospitals are on the israelien side and very often it is impossible for the wounded to go over the check points, they can't make it on time because they don't have the proper papers, they die in ambulances and pregnant wemen are obliged to give birth in front of the soldiers. It cannot last!
