Arrested at the Summit of the Americas during the Carnival against Capitalism on April 20, 2001, François was found guilty of taking part in a riot in September 2003. On Friday February 13th 2004, the sentence was delayed until march 2nd because the judge was absent! Friday February 13th 2004, the judge Richard Grenier of the Court of Quebec was supposed to give me my sentence. Let me remind you in short that in September 2003, a jury found me guilty of taking part in a riot because I waved a red flag during the Carnival against Capitalism on April 20th 2001 at the Summit of the Americas in Quebec City. The theory of Sergeant Peter McLaren of the RCMP who arrested me is that I was controlling the crowd by making signals with the flag and that I was encouraging people to throw things at the police...
