OCAP: HOUND THE TORIES - PUT THE LIBERALS ON NOTICE

PML, Monday, September 8, 2003 - 13:20

OCAP

After months of delay, the Ontario Election is underway. The Tories
are running on immigrant bashing, a stepped up war on the poor and
increased attacks on trade unions. They have rediscovered their 'core
values'. They need to be dogged and confronted as they move around this
Province peddling their hateful message. OCAP will be waiting for Eves
and his friends here in Toronto and we are confident others in communities
throughout Ontario will take them on.

We note that there will be a Premier's Fairways Challenge golf event
at the Angus Glen Golf Club, 10080 Kennedy Road, in Markham on September
12th. Tory supporters are putting up $500 each to participate in this
revolting gathering. Perhaps victims of Tory policies can find cheaper
ways to participate.

Only very trusting types would have any hopes that the Liberals and
their Dalton (Somebody Please Notice Me) McGuinty intend to reverse the
damage that the Tories have done if they are elected. In taking on the
Tories, we should not fail to use this election as a chance to serve
notice on the Liberals that we will be ready to confront them with our
demands if, as appears likely at this point, they form the next
Government.

In addition to going after leading Tories who have the audacity to
show their faces in this City, OCAP is planning a major action during the
next few weeks to give the Tories a fitting send off after eight years of
the misery they have inflicted on our communities. Details will be
announced soon.
