[Canada - Afghanistan] No Olympic Truce in Marjah

Anonyme, Vendredi, Février 19, 2010 - 16:40

While our Prime Minister talks about the the “Olympic Truce”, a symbolic suspension of war during the winter games, the people of Afghanistan are facing a new wave of violence.

The official website for the 2010 Winter Olympics claims that “Vancouver 2010 aims to pursue the Olympic Truce (www.olympictruce.org) goals of protecting the interests of athletes and contributing to peaceful and diplomatic solutions to conflict around the world.” However, on Friday, February 12, NATO forces launched the largest assault to date in the nine year war.

From Nationalism to Internationalism (Fourth part)

Anonyme, Vendredi, Février 19, 2010 - 16:17

This is the fourth part of the booklet From Nationalism to Internationalism. We will publish it in six parts. This booklet tells the story of an activist over a period of about 35 years. His booklet is both intended as a criticism of past activities (for example, a critique of the Maoist current in which he’d long evolved) and to show that these same activities were alien to the proletariat. In fact, he is writing this booklet so that young workers and students can avoid the same mistakes and gain an understanding of the politics of the Communist Left, the real proletarian camp.

Pouring Gasoline on a Fire: Obama's Afghanistan escalation and the war on terrorism scam

Anonyme, Samedi, Février 13, 2010 - 13:56

PB Floyd

"This spring and summer should (or could) bring a rising tide of protests against Obama's escalation of the US war in Afghanistan. Sending more US troops won't make anyone safer, won't help the Afghan people, and will needlessly risk the lives of US troops and Afghan civilians. The handful of Al-Qaeda militants, who were the original justification for the war, haven't been in Afghanistan for years..."
