Il y a deux jours, le 18 mai 2010 à Bruxelles, l'État turc constitué partie civile dans le contexte de ce long iter judiciaire, (plus de 10 ans), connu en Belgique comme "le procès DHKP-C", s'est vu repousser pour la troisième fois le recours présenté contre la sentence avec laquelle la Cour d'Appel d' Anvers avait disculpé, en février de 2008, tous les inculpés de l'accusation d'appartenance à une organisation "criminelle et terroriste", refusant ainsi de limiter sur le propre territoire national, la liberté d'expression et le droit à la contestation politique, (du verdict: “…. en relation à sa présence en Belgique et aux actions qu'il a mené dans cet état, le DHKP-C ne peut être considéré ni une association de malfaiteurs, ni une organisation criminelle, ni un groupe terroriste…”).

Sanctions-busting telethon a tremendous success

A sanctions-busting telethon held in support of Abousfian Abdelrazik in Montreal yesterday was a resounding success. More than 120 people from across the country responded to the appeal to donate to Abdelrazik, though they were aware that they risked federal prosecution by doing so.

From 1995 to 2001 US government expenditures regarding intelligence contractors were roughly $20 billion a year. Following 9/11, in 2002, contracts rose to $32 billion. In 2003 they moved up again to $42 billion annually. Since then they have remained virtually the same regarding what's on the books publicly.

In light of the appeal on April 28th 2010, we call out for actions of solidarity everywhere.
