Plusieurs manifestations en solidarité avec le peuple palestinien ont
balayées les rues d'un bout à l'autre à travers le monde: en Europe, au
Moyen-Orient jusqu'en Amérique du Sud. L'invasion militaire israélienne sur
Gaza a déclenché ces mouvements sociaux en solidarité avec la lutte pour la
libération de la Palestine.

Pendent que l'armée israélienne poursuit l'assaut militaire sur la Bande de
Gaza, plus de 900 palestinienNEs ont été tuéEs et près de 4000 blésséEs avec
une majorité frappante de civilEs ce qui a déclenché un scandal
international contre l'apartheid israélien. Les attaques de l'armée
israélienne ont constamment ciblées des civilEs et des infrastructures
civils, tels que des écoles de l'ONU et des immeubles d'appartements, à
travers Gaza ce qui constitue des crimes de guerre selon la loi
internationale.

Joignez-nous pour une manifestation en addition des manifestations
précédentes à Montréal regroupant des dizaines de milliers d'individuEs en
solidarité avec la Palestine et contre l'apartheid israélien. Joignez-nous
pour une manifestation majeure à Montréal pour dénoncer la perpétuation de
l'occupation israélienne de la Palestine.

Dans les rues de Montréal, nous exigeront pour un arrêt immédiat des
attaques israéliennes aériennes, aquatiques et terrestres sur Gaza devant la
complicité des gouvernements du Canada et des États-Unis avec les crimes de
guerres israéliens.

La complicité du gouvernement canadien a été claire selon les discours du
Premier Ministre Stephen Harper et le Ministre des affaires internationales
Lawrence Cannon, qui ont défendu les crimes de guerres d'Israël, peu importe
que les attaques ont ciblé des civilEs du Liban en
2006 ou de la Palestine en 2008.

Les gouvernements canadien et québécois soutiennent directement l'apartheid
israélien. Récemment, les deux gouvernement ont renforcé leurs relations
bilatérales avec Israël en domaines économique, militaire et politique. En
fait, cet automne, le gouvernement Libéral du Québec de Jean Charest avait
encré un accord d'échange bilatéral avec Israël malgré aux appels
internationaux pour un boycott du gouvernement israélien en raison des
continuations des crimes de guerres commis contre les palestinienNEs.

Aujourd'hui, nous ne pouvons que réaffirmer notre engagement à rallier nos
amiEs et alliéEs des autres mouvements sociaux progressistes à la campagne
de boycott, de sanctions et de désinvestissement (BDS) initiée par plus de
170 organismes de la société civile palestinienne. Celle-ci est une
stratégie de solidarité enracinée dans le mouvement international contre
l’apartheid en Afrique du Sud, et qui a joué un rôle clé dans le
renversement de ce régime de ségrégation.

Demonstration : End Israeli Apartheid! End the siege on Gaza !

Around the world, major demonstrations in solidarity with Palestine are
taking place, from Europe, to the Middle East, to Latin America. In
response to the Israeli military invasion into the Gaza Strip, the
grassroots movement in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle for
liberation has been reignited.

Since December 27th, over 800 Palestinians have been killed and
approximately 4000 injured, the majority civilians, sparking international
outrage against Israel. Israeli military actions have consistently targeted
civilians and civilian infrastructure throughout Gaza, a war crime under
international law; from U.N. schools, to apartment buildings, nowhere in
Gaza is now safe from Israeli military aggression.

Join us for a major demonstration building on previous protests which have
united tens of thousands in Montreal in solidarity with Palestine and
against Israeli apartheid. Join us to denounce the ongoing Israeli
occupation in Palestine and to continue to build the solidarity movement
with Palestine.

On the streets in Montreal we will call for an immediate end to the ongoing
assault on Gaza, and to the direct complicity of the US and Canadian
governments with the Israeli war crimes currently taking place.

The complicity of the Canadian government has been extremely clear, outlined
in statements from Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Foreign Minister
Lawrence Cannon, who have consistently defended Israel's war crimes, whether
against civilians in Lebanon in 2006 or in Palestine in 2008.

Both the governments of Quebec and Canada stand in direct complicity with
the Israeli apartheid system, which systematically discriminates against the
indigenous Palestinian population. The Quebecois and Canadian governments
have recently heightened bilateral relations with Israel, increasing
bilateral economic, military and political links. This fall, Jean Charest’s
Liberal government inked a bilateral trade deal with Israel, an action which
stands in stark contrast to the growing international calls for an economic
boycott of the Israeli government in light of ongoing Israeli war crimes and
systematic discrimination in Palestine.

At this moment, we must instead reaffirm our commitment to continue
mobilizing friends and allies in progressive social movements to respond to
the call by over 170 Palestinian civil society organizations for a
comprehensive international campaign of boycott, sanctions and divestment
(BDS).

Join us on the streets in Montreal in solidarity with the Palestinian people
of Gaza and to call for an end to Israeli apartheid!
