Receive greestings from the women’s group of the autonomous municipality de la paz, in the northern region of chiapas. We are a group of indigenous women of all of the communities of this municipality that are united to defend our rights as zapatista women and to follow the example of our compañera Ramona.
We direct our attention to you in order to denounce that on August 2, 3007, people that are against our zapatista organization burnt the house of our compañera María López Peñate, who lives alone with her daughter in the community of Francisco villa, which is recuperated land since 1994. but they were not aware of this because they were working in their frijolar and only until 3 in the afternoon did they see that they was smoke and they went to see what was happening, but the only thing that they were able to save were some chickens that were in the patio. Now our compañera maria is very sad and worried due to everything that they burnt: her corn, her blankets, her money, her dishes, her grinder, her birth certificate, her seed to plant her garden, her salt and her machete.
In addition, in the communities of this municipality we are threatened by blackouts and because they want to evict us from our lands. And we women suffer more because we are in fear of being raped.
These problems which are living are because the bad government does not want our autonomous organization to exist and wants to breed fear in order to discourage us. But we will not be discouraged. We will continue to organize ourselves more as zapatista women together with our compañeros.
The women’s group of the autonomous municipality de la paz asks you compañeros y compañeras in solidarity to be alert to our situation because fighting together against the government they cannot finish us off.
We demand respect for our rights as women and as indigenous peoples.

The Good Governance Board “Corazón del Arco iris de la Esperanza�? (Heart of the Rainbow of Hope), strongly make this present denunciation in the face of such brutal and inhuman acts by the paramilitary organization OPDDIC (Organization For the Defense of Indigenous and Campesino Rights), which occurred on Friday, August 10, 2007, in the territory of the Autonomous Rebellious Zapatista Municipality “Olga Isabel.�?
In the community of Ba yulumax located 5 kilometers from the site of our autonomous municipality and 7 kilometers of the official municipality “Chilón,�? Chiapas, the following events took place:
On August 10th, approximately at 5:00 pm, the compañero from the Grassroots Support of this community: Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, 52 years old, accompanied by one of his sons, Elías Navarro Jiménez, 11 years old, left their house to visit their cattle that they left tied about 150 meters from their humble home; before arriving at this place, a group of 13 people, members of OPDDIC, interrupted their journey and with excess violence, kidnapped the compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, dragging him 250 meters towards the mountain, carried out by four paramilitaries:

The boy Elías Navarro Jiménez, after going through what happened, runs to his house to alert his brothers while his father was being beaten and kicked by these people.
At receiving this news, the family of our compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, runs to his rescue and at arriving at the place where it was happening, they had their path blocked by the same group of aggressors and in this moment, one of the aggressors yells, saying: “Let’s do what we already planned to do…!�?
And it was then when held by four people, the compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, was shot by 6 22-caliber bullets, and was seriously injured by three shots, leaving him unconscious. In his body, Leonardo was left with a bullet in his right leg, another in the left side of his torax and another in his upper lip, below the nose.
The paramilitary that first shot the compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, with a 22-calibre pistol, is Leonardo Navarro Deara, son of Juan Navarro Aguilar.
One of the compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez’s sons, 29-year old Juan Navarro Jiménez, came to help his father, breaking through the barrier that the group of aggressors created, and it was just in this moment, when one of the same people who detained his father, shot him with a 22-calibre 16-shot automatic rifle, injuring him with a shot to the right shoulder and almost at the same time, he received a machete hit injuring him seriously in the right side of his body.
Once our two compañeros were both shot, and Juan Navarro Jiménez injured also by a machete, family members, sons and daughters, and compañera (partner) of Leonardo Navarro Jiménez tried to obtain assistance while these paramilitaries fled to the coffee plants towards the mountain.
Once they saw that Juan Navarro Jiménez was still alive, they took him home, while his father remained lying there, since they thought he was already dead.
At this time, they notified the people of what had happened, and the people of the community went to the house of compañero Juan Navarro Jiménez, while other people went to place where the incident had occurred and where lay the body of Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, who they found with signs of life. So, they took him to the Autonomous Municipal Clinic. Due to the seriousness of the patients’ injuries, they were taken to Ocosingo, to the IMSS, Coplamar, at 8:00 pm, approximately, and then were to be taken to the Tuxtla Gutiérrez general hospital.
We feel indignation and rage that all not be left in impunity, which has happened in the past; in the past months of 2003, this community had received from the bad government a project to cover an opening, of which the family of Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, have not only been deprived of their right to move freely over this opening that goes through their plot of land, but also had their coffee plants destroyed, had their fencing cut down, in addition to the wire that closes in their work area.
In February-March of 2007, this community installed electricity, and this compañero not only was not told this, nor did he get any electricity, but instead had his avocado trees cut down, as well as had his coffee and cacaté plants cut down.
In July of 2007, they destroyed the trees on his plot of land and had his wire fencing cut.
IN THE FACE OF THIS INCIDENTS OF VILE BRUTALITY, OF SUCH SHAMELESS INJUSTICE AND OF THE GREATEST IMPUNITY ON THE PART OF THOSE WHO SAY THEY ARE GOVERNMENTS OF RULE OF LAW, OF THE APPLICATION OF THE LAW AND OF BUILDING PEACE,
IN THE FACE OF THIS MOST COWARDLY AND BRUTAL VIOLATION OF JUSTICE, OF HUMAN RIGHTS:

We make a call to the entire world, to the men, women, elders of Good Will, to sister and honest organizations, human rights advocates/defenders, and the Just and True Voice and Word, to demand punishment and the application of justice to those who are the material and intellectual authors of such unfortunate and painful acts.
With this denunciation, we lift our voice and word, to tell the world, the disgraces that are these federal (Felipe Calderón) and state (Juan Sabines) governments; disguised as being respectful, but who really govern the country by imprisoning, assassinating and massacring our brothers and sisters, our compañeros and compañeras, who have always been honest and honourable.
We say, ENOUGH! to the bad government, of impunity to the Human Rights violations and violations to Constitutional Rights.
ENOUGH! of using our indigenous and campesino brothers—who live in misery, suffer injustice and paramilitarization—to help you massacre our poor and working people.

Reciban un saludo del Grupo de Mujeres del Municipio Autónomo de La Paz, en la Zona Norte de Chiapas. Somos un grupo de mujeres indígenas de todas las comunidades de este municipio que nos reunimos para defender nuestros derechos como mujeres zapatistas y seguir el ejemplo de nuestra compañera Comandanta Ramona.
Nos dirigimos a Ustedes para denunciar que el día 2 de agosto del 2007 personas que están en contra de nuestra organización zapatista quemaron la casa de nuestra compañera María López Peñate, quien vive sola con su hija en la comunidad Francisco Villa, que es tierra recuperada desde 1994. Pero ellas no se dieron cuenta porque estaban trabajando en su frijolar y hasta las 3 de la tarde vieron que estaba saliendo el humo y fueron a ver, pero lo único que pudieron salvar fueron sus pollos que estaban en el corral. Ahora nuestra compañera María está muy triste y preocupada por todo lo que se quemó: su maíz, su ropa, sus cobijas, su dinero, sus trastes, su molino, su acta de nacimiento, su semilla para sembrar hortalizas, su sal y su machete.
Además en las comunidades de este municipio estamos amenazadas por los cortes de luz y porque nos quieren desalojar de nuestras tierras. Y las mujeres sufrimos más porque tenemos miedo de ser violadas sexualmente.
Estos problemas que estamos viviendo son porque el mal gobierno no quiere que exista nuestra organización autónoma y quiere meter miedo para desanimarnos. Pero nosotras no nos vamos a desanimar, sino que vamos a seguir organizándonos más como mujeres zapatistas junto con nuestros compañeros.
El Grupo de Mujeres del Municipio Autónomo de La Paz les pedimos a los compañeros y compañeras solidarias que estén al pendiente de nuestra situación porque luchando juntas el gobierno no nos puede acabar.
Exigimos respeto a nuestros derechos como mujeres y como pueblos indígenas.

La Junta de Buen Gobierno “Corazón del Arco iris de la Esperanza�?, hacemos enérgicamente la presente denuncia ante los hechos tan brutales e inhumanos por parte de la organización paramilitar OPDDIC (Organización Para la Defensa de los Derechos Indígenas y Campesinos), ocurridos el día viernes 10 de agosto de 2007, en el territorio del Municipio Autónomo Rebelde Zapatista “Olga Isabel�?.
En la comunidad de Ba yulumax ubicada a unos 5 kilómetros de la sede de nuestro municipio autónomo y a 7 kilómetros del municipio oficial “Chilón�?, Chiapas, sucedieron los siguientes acontecimientos:
El día 10 de agosto aproximadamente a las 17:00 hrs, el compañero Base de Apoyo de esta comunidad de nombre: Leonardo Navarro Jiménez de 52 años de edad, acompañado de uno de sus hijos de nombre Elías Navarro Jiménez, de11 años de edad, salió de su casa para visitar a su ganado que se mantiene amarrado a unos 150 metros de su humilde casa; antes de llegar a este lugar, un grupo de 13 personas, miembros de OPDDIC, interrumpieron su paso y con lujo de violencia, secuestraron al compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez sometiéndolo a 250 metros hacia el monte y después de arrastrarlo por cuatro paramilitares de nombre :

El niño de nombre Elías Navarro Jiménez, al vivir este acontecimiento, corre a su casa para avisar a sus hermanos mientras su padre está siendo golpeado y pateado por estas personas.
Al recibir esta noticia, la familia de nuestro compañero de nombre Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, corren al auxilio y al llegar al lugar de los hechos, le tapan el paso por el mismo grupo agresor y en ese momento, uno de los agresores gritó diciendo: “¡Hagamos lo que ya hemos planeado..!�?
Y fue entonces cuando sometido por las cuatro personas , el compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, ha sido balaceado por 6 tiros calibre 22, siendo herido gravemente por tres tiros, quedando en estado inconsciente. En su cuerpo de Leonardo, recibe una bala en la pierna derecha, otra en el costado izquierdo del torax y otra en la parte del labio superior, debajo de la nariz.
El paramilitar que hizo el primer disparo al compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, con una pistola calibre 22, se llama: “Leonardo Navarro Deara�?; hijo de Juan Navarro Aguilar.
Uno de sus hijos del compañero Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, de nombre: Juan Navarro Jiménez, de 29 años de edad, acude a su auxilio de su padre, rompiendo la valla que el grupo agresor obstruía su paso, y fue justo en ese momento, cuando uno de las mismas personas que retenían a su padre, le dispara con un rifle 16 calibre 22 automático, hiriendo con una bala en el hombro derecho y casi al mismo tiempo, recibe un machetazo hiriendo gravemente en la parte de la cien del lado derecho.
Una vez, balaceados a nuestros dos compañeros y herido a Juan Navarro Jiménez de un machetazo, sus familiares, hijos e hijas y de su compañera de Leonardo Navarro Jiménez , intentaron acudir al auxilio mientras estos paramilitares, huyeron al cafetal hacia el monte.
Una vez viendo que Juan Navarro Jiménez todavía estaba con vida, lo llevaron a su casa, mientras su papá, quedó tirado porque pensaron que ya estaba muerto.
En ese momento, dieron aviso al pueblo y fue así como el mismo pueblo acudió a la casa del compañero Juan Navarro Jiménez, mientras otras personas acudieron al lugar de los hechos donde quedó el cuerpo de Leonardo Navarro Jiménez, encontrándolo con signos de vida y fue así como se trasladó a la Clínica Municipal Autónoma, viendo la gravedad de los pacientes, se traslada a Ocosingo, al IMSS, Coplamar, a las 20:00 hrs, aproximadamente, a su vez, este hace el traslado al hospital general de Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
Con la indignación y la rabia de que todo ha queda impune, como ya antes ha ocurrido; en los últimos meses del año de 2003, esta comunidad, recibió del mal gobierno un proyecto de revestimiento de brecha, del cual, la familia de Leonardo Navarro Jiménez , no solo,
le han privado el derecho a transitar por esta brecha que atraviesa su solar, sino que le destrozaron su cafetal, le cortaron la cerca y el alambre que encierra su trabajadero.
En los meses de febrero-marzo de 2007, esta comunidad instaló su sistema de alumbrado, y a nuestro compañero, no sólo no le comunicaron, ni le han dado el servicio de luz, sino que le talaron árboles de aguacate, le cortaron árboles de cafetal y árboles de cacaté.
En el mes de julio de 2007, le destrozaron arbolitos de su parcela y le cortaron su alambre.
¡ANTE ESTOS HECHOS DE VIL BRUTALIDAD, DE TAN DESCARADA INJUSTICIA Y DE LA M�?S CABAL IMPUNIDAD POR PARTE DE QUIEN SE DICEN SER GOBIERNOS DEL ESTADO DE DERCHO, DE LA CABAL APLICACIÓN DE LA LEY Y DE CONSTRUIR LA P�?Z!
ANTE LA M�?S COBARDE Y BRUTAL VIOLACIÓN DE LA JUSTICIA, DE LOS DERECHOS HUMANOS:
¡EXIGIMOS LA APLICACIÓN CABAL DE LA JUSTICIA Y CASTIGO INMEDIATO DE LAS SIGUIENTES PERSONAS RESPONSABLES DE ESTOS HECHOS:

Hacemos un llamado al mundo entero, a los hombres, mujeres, ancianos y ancianas de Buena Voluntad, a las organizaciones hermanas y consecuentes DEFENSORA DE LOS DERECHOS HUMANOS y de Voz y Palabra Justa y Verdadera, a exigir castigo y la aplicación de la justicia para los responsables materiales e intelectuales de estos acontecimientos tan lamentables y dolorosos.
Que ésta denuncia, levanta su voz y su palabra, para escupirle al mundo, lo porquería que están los gobiernos federal (Felipe Calderón ) y estatal (Juan Sabines); disfrazados de cultos, gobiernan el país encarcelando, asesinando y masacrando a nuestros hermanos y hermanas, a nuestros compañeros y compañeras, que por siempre le han dado color y honor.
Por eso, decimos al mal gobierno que ya., ¡BASTA YA!, de la impunidad a las violaciones de los Derechos humanos y de los Derechos Constitucionales.
¡BASTA! de utilizar a nuestros hermanos indígenas y campesinos, que bajo la miseria, sufren la injusticia y la paramilitarización, que ustedes mismos, utilizando a ellos, masacren al pueblo pobre y trabajador.
¡POR LA PAZ, POR LA JUSTICA Y POR LA HUMANIDAD!
