Essays for Socialist Praxis and Theory)

The official presentation of the latest book by

internationally-celebrated University of The Andes (ULA)

professor of political sciences, Dr. Franz J. T. Lee, took place

on Wednesday, July 4, 2007, at the government printing house,

Imprenta de Merida C. A. (IMMECA)

Dr. Franz is a regular commentarist in our e-publication

VHeadline Venezuela and he explained that many of his articles

were used in the compilation of this newly-published work.

IMMECA director Humberto Martínez Caffiero congratulated the

editorial staff for having made possible the publication of Dr.

Franz' latest book ... the last of a trilogy begun in December

2005 and completed now in July 2007. Furthermore, Humberto

explained the political relevance of the book within the context

of the launching of a socialist party to guide the Bolivarian

Revolution.

Humberto Martinez Caffiero, Oswaldo Reques (Defensor del
During his lecture, Franz explained his long revolutionary march

over the last four decades across three continents, participating

in the freedom struggles and revolutions in South Africa,

Namibia, Angola and Mozambique ... also in the protests

campaigns of the socialist students' organizations in Europe,

particularly in the global solidarity endeavors to stop the

genocidal war in Vietnam, and Black Power movements in the

USA and South Africa.

Within this historical context he explained the quo vadis of the

Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela, its necessary and logical

advance from revolution to the limits of the capitalist world

order, the urgent exodus, that is, the crossing of the Rubicon

towards the realm of emancipation, to a new mode of creativity

and creation.

"Only in this way, a new logic, science, philosophy and human

being will become a possibility, a future reality. Within the

current world order, the Bolivarian Revolution, like all previous

Third World revolutions, does not have a minimal chance of

success."

Dr. Franz Lee signs a copy of his newly-published book
The public congratulated the author with fiery ovation and then

enjoyed the social gathering of this important political event in

the city of Merida, which is currently hosting the Copa America

soccer tournament.
