MISSION STATEMENT

We are an international, intercultural community of persons engaged in achieving increasing understanding and cooperation between individuals and groups in support of democratic procedures and the elimination of violence, religious, ethnic and gender persecution, youth exploitation, homophobia and racial hatred through the process of art, education, culture and dialogue.

Wir sind eine internationale, interkulturelle Gemeinschaft von Menschen mit dem Engagement für ein besseres Verständnis und wachsende Kooperation zwischen Individuen und Gruppen, mit Unterstützung des demokratischen Prozesses und der Beseitigung von Gewalt, Verfolgung aufgrund religiöser, ethnischer und geschlechtlicher Zugehörigkeit, Kindes- und Jugendmissbrauch, Homosexuellen-Feindlichkeit und von Rassenhass, durch die Mittel der Kunst, der Bildung, der Kultur und des Dialogs.

Grownupism!
1 Day, When I Grow Up!

So, as usual, I wuz sittin' an' stinkin' 'bout everythin' an' nothin'.
I noticed the weather sorta has sum efeck on my energiez an' sumtimes even my moods!?
When it's cold an' rainy an' cloudy outside, I feel like I'm runnin' between raindrops tryin' to git inside sumwhere, so I kin be dry an' warm!
It's funny though, no matter how much I try dancin' through the rain, I alwayz git caught an' end up wet an' kinda yukky in my clothes.
Then, I gotta sit in the dragon-skool an dry off, while the dragon-teecher is breathin' fire all over us!
'Course, on the other hand, her fire breath does keep us warm an' dries out our clothes pretty quick, so I guess it's not all for nothin'!
I guess!?
I 'member when I wuz a kid an' how I usta sing with my sister, "Rain, Rain go away, come agin another day" an' sumtimes it wuld werk an' then we culd go outside an' play!
Yippee!
But now, that I'm a grown-man-kid-skool-person, even if I kin make the rain go away, the dragon-teecher got a ball an' chain 'round my nek or ankles or sumwhere an' there's no eskapin' to the sunshine an' sumtimes, not even to the bathroom!
Man, sumtimes when I feel like I'm gonna bust from boredom, in the dragon-teecher's classroom prison cell, I raise my hand an' ask if I kin go to the bathroom?
I guess the dragon takes pity on me or she's tired lookin' at my beggin' face an' then she lets me escape!
For a little while!
But with a paper that sez wut time I got outta jail an' wut time I gotta go back into my cell!
I guess it's a little like potty prison parole!?
But, as alwayz, the day finally ends an' I'm outside with my pardnurs screamin' an' runnin', 'cause we're free at last, thank sumbody almighty, we are free at last!
Until tomorrow, naturally!
But with the weather heatin' up, then it's reely hard bein' in the classroom prison cell, but like my father alllwwaaayyyz sez, "Son, it's almost summer vacation an' you have worked so hard an' accomplished so much, just stay with your work and soon, the semester will be finished!"
Wow, my father shuld be a diplomack at the U. Nations, sumplace where his talkin' an' soothin' skills culd be put to great use!
Aktually, ol' Stetson Hat shuld werk for my father then learn how to talk to peeple an' werk with'em then we might reely git sumwhere!
Where, I don't know, but I bet my father culd git us sumwhere better than we are –
Much better!
I gittin' sleepy, so I'm gonna go to sleep now,

Erwachsensein!
Eines Tages, wenn ich erwachsen werde!

Also, wie üblich war ich am Sitz'n und Stink'n über alles und nix.
Ich hab bemerkt, dass das Wetter sich irgendwie auf meine Energie auswirkt und machma' sogar auf meine Laune!?
Wenn es kalt und regnerisch und wolkig draußen is', kommt's mir vor, als ob ich zwischen den Regentropfen lauf' und vasuch' irgendwo 'reinzukomm', damit ich trocken und warm sein kann!
Es is' aber lustig, egal, wie sehr ich vasuch' durch den Regen zu tanz'n, es erwischt mich imma und am Ende bin ich nass und fühl mich irgendwie ätzend in mein' Klamotten.
Dann soll ich in der Drachenschule sitz'n und trocknen, während die Drachenlehrerin überall Feuer üba uns vasprüht!
'Türlich, auf der ander'n Seite, hält uns ihr Feuerspuck'n warm und trocknet uns're Sachen ziemlich schnell, also denk' ich ma', es is' nich' alles umsonst!
Glaub' ich!?
Ich weiß noch, wie ich ein Kind war und imma mit meiner Schwester gesung'n hab: "Regen, Regen, sei keine Plag, komm zurück an einem ander'n Tag." Und manchma' wirkte das und dann konnt'n wir nach draußen geh'n und spiel'n!
Jippie!
Aber jetzt, wo ich ein Erwachsener-Mann-Schulkind-Mensch bin, auch wenn ich den Regen vaschwind'n lass'n könnte, hat die Drachenlehrerin 'ne Kugel mit 'ner Kette um mein' Hals oder Fußgelenk oder irgendwo gebund'n und es gibt kein Entkomm' in den Sonnenschein und manchma' noch nich' ma' auf die Toilette!
Mann, machma', wenn ich das Gefühl hab, ich platz' gleich vor Langeweile in der Klassenraumgefängniszelle der Drachenlehrerin, meld' ich mich und frag', ob ich auf die Toilette darf?
Ich glaub', ich tu der Drachenlehrerin leid oder sie kann mein Bettelgesicht nich' mehr seh'n und dann lässt sie mich davonkomm'!
Für eine kleine Weile!
Aber mit einem Zettel, auf dem steht, wann ich ausem Knast bin und zu welcher Zeit ich zurück in meiner Zelle sein muss!
Ich denk' ma', das is' 'n bißchen wie 'n unbedeutender Hafturlaub!?
Aber wie imma is' der Tag endlich vorbei und ich bin draußen mit mein' Kumpels am Schrei'n und Renn', weil wir am Ende frei sind, dank irgendwem Allmächtigen, am Ende frei!
Bis morgen, natürlich!
Aber wenn das Wetter wärmer wird, dann is' es echt hart, in der Klassenraumgefägniszelle zu sitz'n, aber, wie mein Vater iiimmmaaa sagt: "Sohn, es sind fast Sommerferien und du hast so hart gearbeitet und so viel erreicht, bleib einfach bei deiner Arbeit und bald ist das Halbjahr vorbei!"
Wow, mein Vater sollte ein Diplomater bei den Vereinten Nationen sein, irgendwo, wo seine Fähigkeiten zu reden und zu besänftigen von großem Nutz'n wär'n!
Eigentlich sollte olle Texashut für mein' Vater arbeit'n und lern', mit Menschen zu red'n und mit ihnen zu arbeit'n, das würde uns dann wirklich irgendwo hinführ'n!
Wohin, weiß ich nich', aber ich wette, mein Vater würde uns irgendwo hinführ'n, wo's besser is' als jetz' –
Viel besser!
Ich werd' müde, also geh' ich jetz' schlafen,
