bail funds desparetly needed!

Please donate bail money!
A dozen or so protesters were arrested at the Biodevestation protests in Philadelphia this weekend. They are all still in jail, and need your help to get out. Only 3 people have been arraigned - it's $960 for each one of them to get bailed out. There is at least 1 other person facing felonies - one from Quebec who is facing 2 counts of felony assault. Everyone else is facing misdemanors - disorderly conduct and misdemanor. Thier bails should be set over the next 12 hours, but we know we'll need a lot of money to get them out. Every little bit helps, so please send money. You can Western Union it to Cynthia Pitt,Philadelphia. call her afterwards to tell her how much - 856-816-8715. You can also paypal it to cynd...@gmail.com. Or just bring it to the jail support vigil at 8th and Race Streets in Philadelphia.

"Quebec native arrested at philly BIO protests", amelia, June 23, 2005,
cmaq.net , and

"12 BIODEVASTATION ACTIVISTS ARRESTED!", peacehq, June 23, 2005,
cmaq.net .

It's nice that at least one contact person's name was provided, that of Cynthia Pitt; however, "nice" is the very, maximal best that can be said about either of these two above posts.

The first sensible thing to do in this kind of context, that of seeking help, and if it's truly sincere to begin with, well, it's to provide supporting background information. I read plenty from CommonDreams and CounterPunch, two fine-enough US websites, and have not yet heard or read about the Biodevasatation protests that these two cmaq.net-posted articles refer to.

Anyone could make up such stories, and Canadians, at least in Quebec, should be already very aware that a lot of financial [fraud] has been going on, and for several years already.

On that basis, these two articles posted at cmaq.net "smell" of very potential fraud. And if I'm mistaken in that call, then it's not the fault of readers but of the posters, for being too cheap to provide supporting information.

On that basis, those two posts at cmaq.net are a [real] and unwelcome order joke. Hopefully, CMAQ.net does not provide any real support for such posts; yet CMAQ.net "clears" all articles provided as suggestions. I know that, for CMAQ.net very recently "killed" a piece that I had provided and which was rather morally [sound], entirely, but not quite the kind of article that fascistic government would appreciate being posted publicly. And I checked several times, over a period of days, to see if what was sent was accepted and posted, and did not find a posting of my piece.

Why CMAQ.net allowed these two awfully fraud-"smelling" articles to be posted, well, now that is something to carefully wonder about.

Or, maybe readers of CMAQ.net are aware of that Biodevastation protest, while [by far most] people are not, no one else having written and posted any articles about that event. Given that order of uniqueness, however, cmaq definitely should not accept such articles, unless they provide some really supporting information, references.

People seeking help need to carefully mind the fact that people addressed for aid are often not informed of the situation in question.

Otherwise, [be] homeless and [strive] to survive, [honestly]; at the very least, [do not] steal from the non-rich/wealthy. If you're to steal, then let it [not] be from others than the rich and wealthy. To steal from the poor is to be scum.
