CAR STORIES. The interactive show set in four real cars promises to take people on the theatrical joy-ride of their lives - for only three audience members at a time! Armed with activist performances and a stock of radical urban characters, this crew is ready to take theatre to the backstreets and alleyways of Montreal's Plateau Mont-Royal district. It is playful, energetic, and collaborative.

CAR STORIES was the first (and only) show ever to be kicked out of the Fringe Festival. It is too Fringe for the Fringe™!

CAR STORIES '04, Montreal's longest running protest-performance, is looking for players! This year the show is part of the first annual infringement festival; along with many other experimental and critical artists, OTL is proud to be a part of this exciting new event.

The OTL is currently facilitating the process that will lead to these magical events – finding cars, stories, and people in all cities. We ask you to please join the process of helping us find:

Stories: Write or create a 12-15 minute dramatic story set in a car! The action generally takes place in the front seat, for an audience of three in the back. We encourage you to be as creative as you like – feel free to experiment with form, content, and process. In the past there has been everything from “4th wall Realism
