National Coalition to Repeal the Patriot Act
Le G8 en Georgia: Call for mobilization and support for free speech actions in Savannah. PLEASE CONTRIBUTE We need your assistance. As you know, the G8 Summit will be staged on June 8-10, 2004 on Sea Island, Georgia. The National Coalition to Repeal the Patriot Act, along with regional activists, is in the process of developing several protest activities in Savannah, among them the Festival for Peace and Civil Liberties. The Festival will include a Rally/Concert,featuring top line musical acts and progressive political leaders. Here is the fight at hand. We must beat them at their game! One of the first venues we must secure is the Savannah Civic Center Arena. To accomplish this we must put down a booking deposit of $1250.00. Put simply, we are short right now, we need some cash. Here is how you can help. We need at least 125 G8 Protest Supporters to donate at least $10.00 by PayPal. Contributions may also be mailed to the address listed below. If you can give more, then we welcome it because there are other fees and permits that must be paid for. But the heat is on to get the Civic Center Arena. There is a rumor circulating that the Savannah Police Dept. may attempt to use the arena as a staging area and detention center for protesters. We can deny them that pleasure. Please help.
