Following recent abuses of the public space offered by the Quebec Centre for Media Alternatives, changes to the function of the site and CMAQ’s editorial policy will be put into place in order to deal with the situation. The first change, effective immediately, consists of moving the link that leads to rejected articles (the dungeon) off the front page of the site in into the section that describes the editorial policy. Following recent abuses of the public space offered by the Quebec Centre for Media Alternatives, changes to the function of the site and CMAQ’s editorial policy will be put into place in order to deal with the situation. The first change, effective immediately, consists of moving the link that leads to rejected articles (the dungeon) off the front page of the site in into the section that describes the editorial policy. The goal of this change is to make this section less visible, as it has for some time been the location of many texts and comments attacking people and groups in a personal and hurtful way. During the process of transformation, the problematic texts that end up in this section will no longer be freely accessible, with the goal of preserving the reputation and integrity of those attacked, and discouraging the unacceptable behavior of certain users.
