Suite à la manifestation étudiante de jeudi dernier contre la présente guerre en Irak, des représentantEs étudiantEs de plusieurs institutions scolaires de la région de Montréal appellent à une deuxième manifestation étudiante contre la guerre. Ainsi, mercredi, le 26 mars, des étudiantEs se réuniront au Carré-Berri pour démontrer leur opposition à la guerre en Irak. Les étudiantEs, de tous les niveaux (secondaire, cégep et universitaire), souhaitent radicaliser le discours anti-guerre et s'uniront sous le slogan "Non à la guerre impérialiste. UniEs pour la paix et la justice".

La manifestation vise à dénoncer les institutions locales qui profitent de cette guerre.

After this past Thursday's successful spontaneous student snake march against the war, student representatives from a handful of schools decided to organize a rapid follow up demonstration this Wednesday. This time we hope to unite with high-school students so the demo will be bigger and even more spirited. Also, we plan to radicalise the analysis with the slogan "No More Imperial war. Students Unite for Peace and Justice" (it sounds better in french). Similarly, the demonstration will target a number of the local instalations that are profiting from this war. As Chretien claims to wash his hands of war (which is in of itself untrue since 60 canadian soldiers are part of US units, 3 Canadian boats are helping out in the region and
Canadian troops are being deployed in Afghanistan to relieve US soldiers, not to mention Chretien's unwillingness to denounce US destruction) we will
expose those local corporations that are profiting from the war business. Many of these companies are doing so with our tax dollars, for example Bombardier.
