COALITION ANTI-ZLÉA - APPEL À TOUteS

Mercredi le 22 janvier, à l’appel du comité ZLÉA de la CLAC, a eu lieu une réunion ayant pour but de former une coalition anti-capitaliste contre la ZLÉA. Plusieurs groupes ont convenu de mettre sur pied une campagne de luttes locales en solidarité avec la résistence continentale. Nous désirons apporter une critique radicale au mouvement contre la ZLÉA et sortir du milieu militant traditionnel. La coalition est contre la ZLÉA et les autres accords néo-libéraux (Plan Puebla-Panama, Plan Colombie, ALÉNA, ...), contre le capitalisme, contre l’impérialisme. Nous sommes pour un mode d’organisation horizontal, donc contre la hiérarchie, pour l’autogestion et pour des alternatives autonomes. Cette ‘’liste de principes’’ n’est bien-sûr pas exhaustive et elle est ouverte aux changements et ajouts des gens qui voudraient y joindre leurs idées.

Certaines idées ont été proposées en vue d’un plan d’action à long terme, soit : Recueillir et regrouper de l’information sur les impacts de la ZLÉA; Mettre sur pied un centre de documentation; Préparer et distribuer de la propagande dans différents milieux; Faire ressortir les points chauds du conflit, ici comme ailleurs; Trouver des cibles locales directement impliquées dans la ZLÉA; Préparer des ateliers d’éducation populaire(écoles, milieu communautaire, régions, etc); Organiser des caravanes régionales; Faire des liens inter-amériques; Organiser une grande manifestation en coordination avec le mouvement continental.

COALITION AGAINST-FTAA - CALLOUT

On Wednesday January 22nd, a callout by the Anti-FTAA CLAC committee was made for the formation of an anti-capitalist coalition against the FTAA. Many groups agreed to cooperate on local campaigns, in solidarity with the ongoing regional resistance. We will provide a radical critique for the anti-FTAA movement and leave behind traditional methods of organizing. This new coalition is based on the principles of being: Anti FTAA, Anti-Capitalist, Anti-Authoritarian, Anti-Imperialist and pro-alternative autonomous actions.

Some of the long term action plan ideas that have been proposed are; Obtain and organize information on the impact of the FTAA Create an accessible info-shop Prepare and distribute propaganda throughout the city Expose the issues and problems surrounding the FTAA, both here and now. Expose local corporations who are directly involved in the creation of the FTAA. Create popular education workshops for different communities, groups and schools. Crete links throughout the Americas. Organize a large demonstration in coordination with the continental movement.
