Activists block Military Base to Call For Peace

Activists in Halifax have locked down at one entrance to the Department of National Defence military base where Canada's troops and ships will depart.

We have effectively blocked access since 3pm on Saturday, have set up a Peace Camp, and will stay over night, into tomorrow and until Canada's military involvement in Afghanistan has been halted.

Police and military have been passive, support has been high, and numbers are growing!

IF YOU ARE IN THE HALIFAX AREA, COME AND JOIN US!!!
