AFTER ONLY ONE MONTH OF EXISTENCE,
THE RACHEL STREET SQUAT GOT AN EVICTION NOTICE FROM THE CITY !!!

The City of Montreal and its mayor, Pierre Bourque, want to kick the squatters out before they even gave them enough time to realize their project !

The 3100 Rachel Street E. Squat is composed of about forty residents who took over the mission to make of this building a cultural center offering services at no cost for the benefit of its neighborhood.

These services already are : compost, a collective kitchen, a small farm and language courses.

In the future, we hope to see a print shop, a library, a cooperative coffee house, a biological garden and popular workshops. It’s also a place where anyone can come and realize its own project.

Don’t let the Mayor prevent our garden from flourishing !
