Interview with Jello Biafra
Reagan Jones:
A20

RJ: So when did you get into town?

JB:I was in town a couple of nights ago then I had to go back to Montreal to do another show, then I came back here for the umm, festivities.

RJ: Did they give you any shit crossing the Border?

JB: I came into Toronto a few days early and work permit so they just waived me through.

RJ: As far as actions go have you been into the shit today, I mean have you seen anything go down?

JB: I wasn’t at the breach of the barricade, we got there a little later, and it was sort of aaah, I would call it a low intensity standoff around the opera house where'a people were kinda millin around. Occasionally the cops would move forward and throw tear gas, people throw it back, they back up, and they, the cops would move back, people move forward, then they’d throw some more gas, but ummm nothing that eventful.

RJ: What have you got planned as far as speaking or playing while you’re here?

JB: It’s hard to say becausemy experience with these events is so many things happen spur of the moment that as Ronald Regan once put it “I never know where I’m going.”

RJ: Nice.

JB: So like , there’s a Propagandi concert somewhere here starting fairly soon. I’ll probably say something at that, and there is another one going on tonight I might pop in there. And there are some more going on tomorrow night, so, I umm, just sort of go where asked, if there is something I can do to help out. The Seattle Experience being everybody kinda has to act as cheerleaders from time to time to keep everybody amped up as well as focused.

RJ: Do you plan on doing any direct action yourself? (TRICK QUESTION YOU SHOULD NEVER ANSWER. LEARN FROM Biafra, He knows better and so should you!)

JB: I don’t usually, uh ya’know, say what sort of things I do or have done, or don’t do in that regard. One way not to get caught is not to brag about it.

RJ: (too floored by the fact that he is talking to “The MAN” to actually ask intelligent questions asks if he has anything else to say.)

JB: Obviously the tactics have changed from Seattle, they put up a fence around their negotiating position, which I thought was kinda funny because if people block it right we can block all of their people in. You know they built themselves a jail but more to the point they built themselves a mote. I’ve been bitching and moaning that this isn’t capitalism anymore, it’s feudalism, for years and years now, new feudalism. Now even visually it’s new Feudalism. And, the Quebec Government, I hope the tax payers will take issue with the fact that 35 million of the public purse has been spent making sure that king george bush (whom I, RJ, like to refer to as shit brain, or monkey fuck, or many other names, in fact why don’t all of you reading this come up with you favorite name for big stupid head and post it to this site.) the second of the banana republic dictators don’t have to see any peasants while he’s here.

RJ; (stunned) Um, thanks.

Biaffra smiles and RJ’s brain explodes. Jello flies off into the skies to drop loads of lard upon the Rowdy RCMP stooge puppets.
