The Publish! section

patc, Jeudi, Janvier 31, 2002 - 16:23

Here is a brief description of the Publish! section's functionalities

An article

“Title” field: This field allows the collaborator to choose a title for its submission.

“Themes” field: To ease the browsing, collaborators can now choose to submit their documents under a Theme, regrouping all publications relating to one or other subject (globalization, environment, IMF/WB, etc.) so that users concerned by one specific theme can choose, from the home page, to browse only submissions having to do with this topic.

“Storytype” field: The present configuration of the site allows collaborators to select which type of document (analysis, newswires, press release) their submission corresponds to.

“Abstract” field: Collaborators can type a short description of the submission’s contents. This brief will be posted a the head of the text and, if the submission is placed in the headlines, only it will show on the home page, with the option to read more.

“Body” field : Type or paste the body of the text here.

“Language” field : Choose the language of publication.

“Suggested link” field : This field allows the collaborator to attach one hyperlink to the submission.

“Brief description of the link” field : It says it all!

“Media file” field : The CMAQ site also allows users to attach, audio, photo or video files to a submitted text. They will also be published in the appropriate “Media” section.

A media file

The media publication function is temporarily out of service.
It will be reestablished soon. Note that one can still submit pictures, audio or video material by attachment, using the "article" form of the Publish section.

This is an alternative media using open publishing. The CMAQ collective, who validates the posts submitted on the Indymedia-Quebec, does not endorse in any way the opinions and statements and does not judge if the information is correct or true. The quality of the information is evaluated by the comments from Internet surfers, like yourself. We nonetheless have an Editorial Policy , which essentially requires that posts be related to questions of emancipation and does not come from a commercial media.
